Mountain Biking
The Keweenaw Adventure Company offers rentals of Marin and Kona mountain bikes and guided tours. Copper Harbor has some of the best world-class mountain biking single-track trails in the Midwest as well as many miles of logging roads that take you to deep into the wilderness and the undeveloped Lake Superior Shoreline. The Copper Harbor Mountain Bike Trails were designated as one of five new International Mountain Bicycling Association Epic Rides in 2009, now one of only 53 IMBA Epic Rides in the world!
Access to the main bike trail is right across the street from the Adventure Company Shop. The Keweenaw Adventure Company has qualified bicycle mechanics and stocks basic parts and accessories. Trail maps are available at our shop for exploring all these wonderful trails.

Sea Kayaking on Lake Superior.
Take a peaceful paddle on the harbor, head out to the lighthouse, Porter’s Island, Horseshoe Harbor, Agate Harbor, or the Montreal Falls. Our daily tours include basic instruction, use of a single or tandem Boreal Design sea kayak, gear, and a professional guide. Our tours are appropriate for all skill levels.

Isle Royale National Park Guided Overnight Kayaking Trip.
Visit this remote island in Lake Superior for a fabulous wilderness experience. Our multi-day tours include use of kayak, equipment, professional guide service, food & meal preparation, tent, camping equipment, park permits and fees, plus ferry transportation. Tours typically range from 4 to 8 days. Paddle the remote coves and rock formations of this wilderness park.
Guided Hiking Tours of the Keweenaw with naturalist Charlie Eshbach include hikes to the Estivant Pines, Horseshoe Harbor, the mouth of the Montreal River, Lost Lake, Esrey Park, Bare Bluff, plus many other locations.
Winter in Copper Harbor
We are now offering snowshoe rentals and guided back country snowhoe tours for our winter visitors. Appointment only.
