The Alger Falls Motel has 16 extra clean and newly renovated motel units and 1 housekeeping cottage located 2 miles east of Munising on M-28, just minutes from town. Coffee is available every morning. Open year round. The motel is one story so you can park at the door, unload easily and enjoy yourself. All units have king or queen-sized beds, air conditioning, microwaves, refrigerators, extended cable TV, wireless internet access, and direct dial phones. Park your snowmobiles at your door. Plenty of room for trailers.
A recreation room is available for guests to get together. It has a pizza oven, along with a pool table and coin laundry. For the snowmobilers, we have a heated garage for snowmobile repairs. The Alger Falls Motel has direct snowmobile
trail access so you can snowmobile right from your
door. Snowmobile maps, licenses, etc. are available
on-site. We are located outside the city limits, so
there is no snowmobile curfew. Munising has over 250 miles of snowmobile trails connecting to the over 2,500 miles of Upper Peninsula trails, cross-country skiing trails from 2 to 12 miles in length, scuba diving - 18 hole golf course, swimming, boating, hiking, biking, hunting and fishing. Nearby attractions include many waterfalls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours, a chance for non-divers to clearly view some of the shipwrecks in the Alger Underwater Diving Preserve, Pictured Rocks Cruises and Grand Island National Recreation Area.
