Andersons Cabin is on 16 Mile Lake within the Hiawatha National Forest near Munising MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Andersons "Lake of the Loons" cabin is a chalet style log cabin on the shore of 16 Mile Lake. Sit on the deck, relax and look out over this beautiful big lake. This two bedroom cabin sleeps up to 6. There are two twin beds in one bedroom and one queen sized bed and two twins in the second bedroom. The cabin is completely equipped including a full kitchen with microwave. Linens and paper products are provided. There is a gas grill on the deck and a firepit nearby for bonfires. Sit around a bonfire enjoying the starlit skies and the Hiawatha National Forest surrounding you. Go fishing in this lake filled with northern pike, perch and bass and then cook your fresh fish outside on the deck. If you don't feel like cooking, good food is available at the Buckhorn Restaurant and Lounge, about 5 miles away.
Nearby attractions in the Munising area include many waterfalls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours, a chance for non-divers to clearly view some of the shipwrecks in the Alger Underwater Diving Preserve, Pictured Rocks Cruises and Grand Island National Recreation Area. Munising has many recreational opportunities with over 250 miles of snowmobile trails connecting to the over 2,500 miles of Upper Peninsula trails, cross-country skiing trails from 2 to 12 miles in length, scuba diving - 18 hole golf course, swimming, boating, hiking, biking, hunting and fishing.
