Apple Ridge Cottage is situated on 10 acres of private land just 1 mile east and 1 mile south of Grand Marais, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Surrounded by apple trees on all sides, Apple Ridge Cottage is a peaceful setting for enjoying your vacation, yet close to Lake Superior and the sandy beach, the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, restaurants, shops, galleries, as well as abundant recreational opportunities. This newly renovated 4 bedroom cottage has a large living area with comfortable seating, satellite TV with a VCR/DVD player, and a gas fireplace with a delightful stained glass window by the fireplace. The complete kitchen has full sized
appliances, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and
a dishwasher. Apple Ridge Cottage has four bedrooms with one bedroom
on the main floor and three upstairs bedrooms.
We supply bedding for the beds and towels, but guests should supply extra paper products and toiletries. Apple Ridge Cottage will sleep up to 6 guests maximum. Perfect fpr a couple, family, or small group. Spring guests will find a small campfire pit and a park style charcoal grill. Snomobilers will find the main trail only 1/8 mile from the cottage with easy access to the trails. Cabin Fever Cabin Rentals offers 2 other rental cabins in the Grand Marais Area Knots Log Cabin

Apple Ridge Cottage is only 1 mile from the picturesque harbor village of Grand Marais where you will find shopping, restaurants, the Agate Museum, and the Grand Marais Maritime and Historical Museum in the old Lighthouse Keepers Dwelling on Coast Guard Point. There is a wonderful sandy beach in Grand Marais for all to enjoy. Sit and relax on the Lake Superior beach, walk along the shoreline, or wade in the water. Grand Marais is at the eastern entrance to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Enjoy beautiful scenery, numerous hiking trails, Sable Falls, the Log Slide Overlook, Grand Sable Lake and Dunes, and the Au Sable Lighthouse is only a short walk along the beach. Recreational opportunities abound with canoeing, kayaking, or fishing the nearby inland lakes and rivers, and the Fox River, a Michigan Blue-Ribbon Trout Stream, is only a few miles south of Grand Marais. Easy access to ATV and snowmobile trails from Apple Ridge Cottage. The Seney National Wildlife Refuge, home to a large variety of birds and wildlife, is just a few miles south of Grand Marais where you might like to hike, bike, or canoe through the Refuge. Canoes can be rented in Germfask. Enjoy the interpretive programs and exhibits at the Visitor Center or go on the 7 mile Marshland Drive. Winter
