The "Art Show in the Woods"

The 38th Annual Spread Eagle,Wisconsin Art Show will be held on July 22, 2012.

The show is located at The ChuckWagon, (the Historic Old Log Cabin), in Spread Eagle Wisconsin on Highway US 2, 7 miles northwest of Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Come out and see a juried showcase of original art and fine crafts featuring artists and artisans
from Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula, Florida, Minnesota, and Texas.
The show is held from 9 am to 3 pm (central time). Rain or Shine.

Enjoy these beautiful works of art with special booths the children will enjoy.
Food and beverages available during the day at the outdoor cook-out or inside the Chuckwagon.
Be sure to try the
hot dogs and the corn-on-the-cob cooked on the outdoor grill.

2011 Spread Eagle Art Show

Wood carver Jim Dault from Spread Eagle, Wisconsin creates subtle original design Deep Wood Spirit carvings. Wood Spirits originated in Germany many years ago and were found in homes and gardens as a good luck omen.

Jim creates a wood spirit from pieces of wood that he finds and has created several large carvings on the stumps of fallen trees in yards throughout the area. One spirit carving can be found at the entrance to Lake Antoine Park in honor of those serving in Iraq.


Come out to the Chuckwagon and meet the artists and artisans and enjoy a juried showcase of original arts and fine crafts featuring artists from the Upper Peninsula, Northern Wisconsin, Texas, and Minnesota.

 

Artists will be exhibiting a variety of art forms including oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, mixed media, and painted windows, Pastels

There is a selection of fun wooden toys for the young at heart; soy candles; luminous photography; stoneware & Raku pottery; pet bandanas; embellished glass items; wood carvings; oak tables & benches; semi-precious gemstone jewelry; birdseye, burl, and curly wood items; original fashions for America Girl dolls; Lake Superior beach glass jewelry; and Jewelry made from real flowers & butterfly wings.

Ladies appliquéd & embellished clothing; hand loomed rugs; birchbark & driftwood items; wearable art, & accessories; wood turned bowls and vases; paper art; magnetic therapy jewelry; scroll saw & intarsia wood products; wire wrapped jewelry; natural soaps and lotions; rock lamps; folk art featuring Halloween and winter items; clothing for infants; note cards; and a variety of crafts.
