HAND CARVED BOWLS

Dale Chouinard from Escanaba will be displaying his beautiful hand carved wood bowls at the Spread Eagle Art Show on July 17th.  His bowls evolve from the character and uniqueness of each individual piece of wood. Dale starts carving and stops when he feels this is what is either a pretty bowl of a nice piece of firewood.

The bowl on the left was carved from a black cherry burl.

FOLK METAL ART
Dan Recla

Dan Recla from Niagara will be exhibiting his unique metal art at the Spread Eagle Art Show on July 17th. Dan has worked in metal for most of his life and began  making cool things from smashed car fenders and doors, giving it away to his friends.  His father-in-law looked at it and called Folk Metal Art. That began a brand new adventure as he began creating interesting and unusual metal sculptures.
