This newly built Best Western Lakewood Lodge offers 20 first-floor guest rooms including 4 suites with jet tubs, and 5 handicap accessible rooms. The hotel has interior corridors and offers a complementary continental breakfast, 24-hour front desk, safe deposit box, Exercise Facility, and a Meeting /Conference Center.

Each guest room has satellite TV, an AM/FM alarm clock, coffee/tea maker, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, and a desk work area. Direct dial telephones with data-ports and high speed internet access with wireless internet capabilities. VCR's are available for a small extra charge. The handicap rooms are wheelchair accessible with closed caption TV, rails, and a visual alarm. One room has a walk in shower with a safety bar.

The spacious lobby offers chairs for relaxing, ice and vending machines, and a business center with fax and photocopying services.

The Exercise Facility offers cardiovascular exercise equipment including a stationary bike and a treadmill.

Our Meeting Rooms and Conference Center will accommodate up to 80 people and a media board and overhead are available and audio/visual equipment. Catering can be arranged for your meeting.

The large parking lot has cold-weather hook-ups with lots of room for trucks, trailers, and RV's.

The Lakewood Area in northern Wisconsin offers wonderful year round recreational opportunities that continue throughout the year.

Enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and boating in the lakes and streams. Go hiking, biking, birding, cross country skiing, horseback riding, and snowmobiling on the many trails throughout the forest. The Best Western Lakewood Lodge has direct access to snowmobile and ATV trails. Golf at the 18-hole McCauslin Brook Country Club or try rafting on the rushing Peshtigo River. This area is a photographers dream with unlimited opportunities for great pictures.

While you are visiting the beautiful Lakewood Area in Northern Wisconsin, you might like to visit some of the local attractions such as the Woodland Trails Winery that is open year round, or the restored Holt and Balcom Logging Camp established in 1881. Open on Saturdays during July and August.

Visit the local art galleries and craft shops or take the children to the amusement park with go-carts and mini-golf. There is a casino in Carter, only a few miles north of the Best Western Lakewood Lodge.

Take a stroll through the Cathedral of the Pines, an old growth forest that escaped logging in the early 1900's. Look up and you will see a Great Blue Heron Rookery with nests in the tops of some of the tall trees.

Winter visitors will love the groomed cross-country ski trails for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers. The 22k Lakewood Trails offer traditional skiing and one skating trail, while Jones Trail offers 11 miles for traditional skiing.

Snowmobilers can ride from the door of the Best Western Lakewood Lodge and ride the 120 miles of local trails or connect with the trail system in northeastern Wisconsin
