Bob’s Bungalow@the Beach is a comfortable 3-bedroom vacation home, only 400 feet from the sandy Lake Superior Beach and within walking distance of downtown Ontonagon, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Take a walk over to the beach for some of the most stunning sunsets imaginable. This is a beautiful area with wonderful outdoor recreation. Bob's Bungalow is open May through October. Don't miss the brilliant fall color in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.

Bob’s Bungalow@the Beach is newly painted and furnished with an “up north” motif. The living room offers an electric fireplace and TV with a DVD/VCR player. The kitchen is all ready for you with a full size appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and what you need for cooking and dining.

One bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, the second bedrrom has a full bed, and the third bedroom has twin beds. The bathroom has a shower. Bed linens, towels, and paper products are provided.

Patio doors lead from the kitchen to the large deck in the back yard and a charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking. Relax on the deck and view Lake Superior through the trees.

The wonderful Lake Superior sandy beach is only 400 feet from the Bungalow. The many miles of beautiful beach are open to the public and one of the best places to watch the awesome sunsets. You will be treated to a different spectacular view each evening. Go wading in the refreshing waters of Lake Superior, have a picnic, build sand castles, or sit around an evening bonfire and roast marshmallows while you enjoy the brilliant night sky.

Bob’s Bungalow@the Beach is a few blocks from downtown Ontonagon for shopping, dining, visiting the Historical Museum, or touring the Ontonagon Lighthouse. There is a marina on the Ontonagon River with great fishing in the river or charter fishing on Lake Superior.

The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is 20 miles west for outstanding scenery, hiking, birding, biking, and wildlife watching. Don’t miss the short walk to the overlook above Lake of the Clouds for a spectacular view of the Lake and the surrounding wilderness.

Bob’s Bungalow is in the town of Ontonagon, but there is easy trail access to the ATV trails.  Ride from the door on the many miles of trails in the area, including the Bill Nicholls multi-use trail to Houghton.

Pets welcome with prior approval.

RATES: May through October
$130 nightly for up to 4 adults (3-night minimum stay).
$875 weekly rate for up to 4 adults. $10 additional per adult per night.
Children under 18 free.

BUNGALOW POLICIES: Check in 3:00 EDT; Check out 11:00 EDT – late check out fee will apply.
Pets accepted on case by case basis.
All cooking utensils must be washed, dried and put away, or a $25 charge will apply.
No smoking is allowed inside. It is Michigan law. There will be a $200 charge if the house smells of smoke upon your departure.
Advance reservations are suggested; we require a minimum of 50% of the total charge when you make your reservation. When payment is received, we will confirm your reservation. Currently we accept check, cashier's check or cash.
Refund for cancellations after 10 days notice if the unit can be rented. No refund for early departure, no refund for Christmas holiday season.
All rates are subject to 11% Michigan use tax and room assessment. Rates are subject to change without notice.
