Brockway Inn Your Hosts At the foot of Brockway Mountain
Located on M-26 at the base of Brockway Mountain, the Brockway Inn offers year round lodging in the heart of Copper Harbor. 6 comfortable units with color cable TV, some rooms have private whirlpools and there is free coffee in the morning in the lobby. Refrigerator and microwave available. All units are non-smoking. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We are located right on the trail for easy access to skiing or snowmobiling. Mt. Bohemia, the new and exciting downhill ski area is open and only minutes away! Great cross country ski trails right here in Copper Harbor (map and information)
There is an enclosed hallway along the front that links the rooms and serves to protect you from the north winter wind. You may leave your boots and outer gear in the hallway until the snow has melted. Enjoy some hot cocoa and conversation in our lobby as you watch the new snow gently falling on the town. Be sure to visit the Copper Harbor Lighthouse, placed into service in 1849 to guide the small ships coming in with supplies for the booming copper trade.
While you're here, take a ride up Brockway Mountain, 735 feet above lake level, (1,337 feet above sea level). The incredible panoramic view from the top lets you overlook Copper Harbor and Lake Superior. Watch for ore freighters going by. Don't miss the Estivant Pines, a stand of virgin white pines, 500-1000 years old. Trail maps are available in town. Stop by Mandan, one of the ghost mining towns that dot the landscape of the Keweenaw Peninsula. The Brockway Inn
