Cabin Fever Cabin Rentals offers 3 rental cabins in the Grand Marais area in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (Map). Knots Log Cabin is located on a small scenic inland lake, 11 miles south of Grand Marais and 16 miles north of Seney. . . just west of Highway M-77. The Get-a Way Cottage has 3 bedrooms and is by Lake Superior, 1.5 miles east of Grand Marais, and Apple Ridge Cottage, is a 4 bedroom cottage on 10 acres of private land 1 mile south of Grand Marais. Knots Log Cabin Knots Log Cabin is nestled in the woods near Grand Marais and faces this small peaceful inland lake through the trees. This is a narrow, shallow scenic lake that is great for watching wildlife including beavers, birds, and waterfowl, photography, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking.
A trail leads down to the dock for viewing the lake to relax, take photos, or watch wildlife. There is no boat launch or beach but we have a small 2-person canoe and a small 2-person row boat to use on the lake. Cabin Fever Cabin Rentals are conveniently located in the wilderness yet close enough to the picturesque village of Grand Marais to enjoy the local beach and harbor, water sports, shopping, and an array of dining alternatives. Grand Marais is the eastern gateway to the Pictured Rocks. Try some of the day hikes from Grand Marais into the 42 miles of Pictured Rocks shoreline, hike to the AuSable Lighthouse, and the Devil's Log Slide.
All of our cabins are priced per night and the number
of guests in the cabin. There are no phones, no pets, or smoking in the cabins We supply bedding for the beds and towels. Recreation in the Grand Marais and Seney area includes fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or just relaxing, taking in the view, or watching the wildlife. Attractions near Grand Marais and Seney Michigan include: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore AuSable Point Lighthouse and Maritime Museum Seney National Wildlife Refuge, One of the largest wildlife refuges in the country Seul Choix Point Lighthouse Museum and Gift Shop in Gulliver, MI. Climb the tower of this restored active light shining over Lake Michigan. Tahquamenon Falls and State Park Whitefish Point Lighthouse, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, the only museum dedicated to shipwrecks on the Great Lakes, and the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory. These three attractions are at Whitefish Point, 12 miles north of Paradise, near the shores of Whitefish Bay, the site of the wreck of the ore carrier Edmund Fitzgerald, lost with 29 men aboard on November 10, 1975.
The Soo Locks, see the huge lake freighters carrying ore down to the steel mills or the ocean-going "salties" coming in to pick up a foreign bound cargo.
