Cabin Fever Cabin Rentals offers 3 rental cabins in the Grand Marais area in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (Map). Our cabins are great for couples, families, or a small group.

Knots Log Cabin: Two bedroom log cabin with a loft and a gas fireplace located on a small scenic inland lake, 11 miles south of Grand Marais and 16 miles north of Seney. . . just west of Highway M-77. Maximum of 6 guests. Open Year Round.

Apple Ridge Cottage: Four bedroom cottage with 1 & 1/2 baths, gas fireplace, and a wood stove located on 10 acres of private land 1 mile south of Grand Marais. Open Year Round. Maximum of 6 guests.

Get-a-Way Cottage: Three bedroom cottage by Lake Superior, 1.5 miles east of Grand Marais with a fishing pond. . . the Sucker River. . . and a beach on Lake Superior. Open Year Round with weekly rentals only from December through April.

All rental cabins have basic satellite TV and a small washer and dryer. Bedding and towels are provided for our guests. but please bring your paper products. Two night minimum stay, except for winter rentals at the Get-a-Way Cottage.

Cabin Fever Rental Cabins are all pet and smoke free.

Knots Log Cabin

Knots Log Cabin is nestled in the woods 11 miles south of Grand Marais and faces a small peaceful inland lake through the trees. The scenic inland lake is great for watching wildlife, photography, and canoeing. There is no boat launch or beach, but there is a small row boat and small canoe for guests to use.

The cabin is all cedar logs with a porch. There are two bedrooms on the main floor with a double bed in each room and 3 single beds upstairs, open to below. Knots Log Cabin has a full bathroom with a tub/shower unit, toilet, and sink. There is a full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. Hardwood floors and custom made beds and cabinets.

The dining & living area has a gas fireplace and basic satellite TV with a VCR/DVD player. There is a small campfire pit and a charcoal grill. Small stackable washer & dryer.

Apple Ridge Cottage

Apple Ridge Cottage is located on 10 acres of private land just 1 mile east and 1 mile south of Grand Marais, MI. Surrounded by apple and other fruit trees on all sides, Apple Ridge Cottage is a peaceful setting for enjoying your vacation, yet close to Lake Superior and the sandy beach, the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, restaurants, shops, galleries, as well as abundant recreational opportunities. In the winter, Apple Ridge is just off the snowmobile trails.

Four Bedroom Rental Cottage

This newly renovated 4 bedroom cottage has a living area with comfortable seating, satellite TV with a VCR/DVD player, and a gas fireplace. Additional TV in the dining area. There is a delightful stained glass window by the fireplace.

Throw a log on the wood-burning stove in the dining area and relax around the crackling fire while enjoying your meal. The complete kitchen has full sized appliances, a microwave, coffee maker, and a toaster with a small washer/dryer in the basement.

Apple Ridge Cottage has four bedrooms with one bedroom on the main floor and three upstairs bedrooms. The first floor bedroom has a double bed and there is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There are three bedrooms upstairs with a double bed in each room. Half bath.

There is a picnic table, charcoal grill, and small campfire pit. Snomobilers will find the main trail only 1/8 mile from the cottage with easy access to the trails.

The Get-A-Way Cottage

The Get-a-Way Cottage is located just 1.5 miles east of Grand Marais, MI on Lake Superior. The cottage has three bodies of water . . Lake Superior. . . Walden Pond (a small fishing pond). . . and the Sucker River.

Get-a-Way Cottage

The Get-A-Way Cottage has three bedrooms with a double bed in each room and a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. The cabin has a complete kitchen with a stove/oven, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and cooking and eating utensils. The dinning room has table with chairs and there is a snack bar.

The living room has satellite TVs with VCR & DVD players, chairs, sofa, and an awesome view of the lake. Additional TV in the dining area. The entry room has a small washer & dryer and is great for for fishing and swimming gear or for coats, boots, and helmets. The cottage has a deck with a bench and chairs, a park style charcoal grill, picnic table, and a small campfire pit.

The small lake by the cottage, Walden Pond, was formed by the Sucker River. There is a dock with a row boat that you can use on the pond for fishing. You might catch a mess of panfish in Walden Pond for a delicious dinner. Anglers will also find good fishing in the Sucker River and other local streams. Nice beach on Lake Superior for relaxing or going for a swim.

The Get-a-Way Cottage is near the Lake Superior State Forest for hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, birding, ATVing, hunting, and fishing. The cottage is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping in Grand Marais and the eastern entrance to the Pictured Rocks .

The Get-a-Way Cottage is available for nightly or weekly rentals from May through November.
Weekly rentals only from December through April.
Maximum of 5 guests.

Cabin Fever Rental Cabins

All of our rental cabins are located near Grand Marais, the eastern gateway to the Pictured Rocks. Try some of the day hikes from Grand Marais into the 42 miles of Pictured Rocks shoreline, hike to the AuSable Lighthouse, and the Devil's Log Slide.

Recreational opportunities abound with canoeing, kayaking, or fishing the nearby inland lakes and rivers. The Fox River, a Michigan Blue-Ribbon Trout Stream, is only a few miles south of Grand Marais. Easy access to ATV and snowmobile trails from all of our rental cottages. Enjoy mountain biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or just relaxing, taking in the view, or watching the wildlife.

The locally groomed snowmobile trails connect to the Trans-UP trail system with over 2,500 miles of groomed trails. Snowmobile from Grand Marais to anywhere in the Upper Peninsula. Snowmobile rentals in Grand Marais.

There is a 2 night minimum stay
We accept checks, money orders, or cash.
Sorry, no credit cards. We do ask for a deposit to reserve the cabins.
Check in for the cabins is 4 PM or after and check out is 10 AM.

There are no phones, no pets, or smoking in the cabins

We supply bedding for the beds and towels.
Guests should supply extra paper products and toiletries.

We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if they smoke or bring pets into the cabins.
