The Carriage House is located at the entrance to the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse Complex at Eagle Harbor Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula (Map).
The Lake Superior and Lighthouse related items are almost entirely designed by the artist-owners, Alice and Ann Kipfer. There are many items featuring the exclusive Eagle Harbor Lighthouse design by Ann. The Kipfers make almost every item they sell.
The Carriage House studio offers hand smocked dresses, bonnets and gorgeous children's clothing, exclusive lighthouse ornaments, miniatures, lamp finials, pull chains, lighthouse throws, pendants and chains, sterling silver, lighthouse cards, T-shirts and sweat shirts, Scassi lighthouse collectibles and more.
The Carriage House has created beautiful bell pulls, original
design woven tapestry with
matching afghans,
wall hangings and throws, most items with lighthouse designs. The
Kipfers' artistic work features the lighthouses of the Keweenaw
Peninsula, especially the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse.
The Carriage House has long and short sleeved T-shirts and sweat shirts with lighthouse designs. If you would like to have your picture taken at the lighthouse and put on a t-shirt or sweat shirt, stop in and tell Ann, she will do it for you. If you already have a picture you would like put on your tee or sweat shirt, bring it in.
The Carriage House is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., from early May to Oct. 15, but items may be ordered by mail throughout the year. E-Mail us for more information
