Downhill skiing nearby at Marquette Mountain. 
The outlet from Carr Lake flows into Lake Superior through historic Bay Furnace Park. Wildlife abounds throughout the area and can be seen year round. The migratory flight paths of the ducks and geese passes directly over this area and provides for excellent hunting and viewing of the migration phenomenon. Hunters as well as photo enthusiasts flock to the area to hunt and see the fall colors as well as the winter scenes. The four seasons provide a peaceful and colorful atmosphere along with the numerous scenic attractions.
