Although we do not have television reception, the cabins have TV's with DVD and VHS players so you can enjoy a video from our library at the office (free of charge). Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior The 280 feet of sandy beach on Lake Superior's
Whitefish Bay is great for swimming, wading, and
sunbathing. There are picnic tables, lawn furniture, Bar-B-Q
grills and campfire pits.
In the winter, be
prepared for
snow!
Snowmobiling and cross country skiing are the favorite
winter sports in Paradise, For snowmobilers, the Paradise area has over 200 miles of trails, groomed seven nights a week, connecting to the over 2,500 miles of networked trails throughout the Upper Peninsula. Snowmobile to Tahquamenon Falls and see the stunning ice sculptures created by the huge falls. Snowmobilers will enjoy the Mardi Gras De Snow in mid-February. Cross Country Skiers may try out the Paradise
trails: Cloud Nine Cottages offers year round recreational opportunities If you are interested in birding, be sure to come during the early spring, from late March to the middle of May to see thousands of birds migrating the 17 miles to Canada for the summer. Birders may count thousands of raptors flying near the point in a single day of migration. Whitefish Point is a natural flyway for the migrating birds, many of them arrive here and stop to feed and rest for a few hours before crossing Lake Superior. Stop at the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory for detailed information. Bring Your Camera! Take a walk on our Haunted Trail the third weekend in October. Whitefish
