"So Cold a Sky: Upper Michigan Weather Stories" is a collection of short stories about weather in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from the early settlers to modern weather events.

Karl Bohnak, Chief Meteorologist for WLUC TV-6 in Marquette, MI, is enthusiastic about the history of the Upper Peninsula and it's exciting weather happenings from huge snow storms to heat waves and has compiled some of this interesting weather information into his book, "So Cold a Sky".

"So Cold a Sky" contains short stories about the early settlers and the hardships they faced making a home in this rugged land and true tales of notable modern weather events in the Upper Peninsula. The book is packed full of interesting weather facts, photographs, and maps.

* Father Marquette's legendary trip across Lake Superior
