The Hancock-Calumet Loop Tour
The lands from Hancock to Calumet are the richest mineral lands in the Keweenaw. Luckily for those interested in history, they also contain some of the best-preserved sites. This tour will take us in a gentle loop from Hancock to Calumet and back. From the Calumet junction of this tour a trip to Copper Harbor via the North Keweenaw Tour is an enjoyable side trip. But for now, concentrate on the many structures visible in this relatively small section of land.
