Curleys has 700' of terraced beach frontage. Sit on the terrace or just outside of the motel and watch the freighters going to and from the Soo Locks. Look to the north and you will see the hills of Canada.

For your enjoyment, Curleys also offers a tennis court, exercise room and game room. There is a great picnic area overlooking the lake with grills and tables and a firepit for evening bonfires.

If you are an early riser, you may see one of the breathtaking Paradise sunrises as you look out over the lake.

If you are visiting in the spring or summer, enjoy sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming at our sandy beaches, collecting agates along the shore, canoeing, kayaking or ATV riding.

If you are interested in birding, be sure to come during the early spring, from late March to the middle of May to see thousands of birds migrating the 17 miles to Canada for the summer. Whitefish Point is a natural flyway for the migrating birds, many of them arrive here and stop to feed and rest for a few hours before crossing Lake Superior. Whitefish Point Bird Observatory

In the winter, snowmobilers may go directly to the trail from their door and travel the over 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails connecting to the 2,500 miles of trails crossing the Upper Peninsula. Snowmobile rental in town.

Cross-country ski the trails at the Paradise Pathway, the Tahquamenon Falls ski trails, view the beautiful ice sculptures and make a pit stop at the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery and Pub.

Nearby attractions include the mighty Tahquamenon Falls, the Whitefish Point Lighthouse next to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, or go along Lake Superior to the Point Iroquois Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, visit the Soo Locks and watch the huge freighters lock through. The Pictured Rocks between Munising and Grand Marais are always a stunning sight. While you are there, be sure to hike to the AuSable Lighthouse near the Hurricane River.
