Lodging at Dock of the Bay Cabins, Big Bay MI, only 25 miles north of Marquette, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Dock of the Bay has two rental cabins, townhouse style, on Lake Independence with 400 feet of sand beach and a dock for your boat. Cabins are within walking distance of local businesses.
Each two bedroom cabin has a living and dining area and a full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, dishes, and necessary cooking utensils. Cabins have one bedroom downstairs with 2 twin beds and a full bath with tub and shower combination. The upstairs loft has 2 twin beds and overlooks the lake. Linens and towels are included. Sleeper sofa in the living area for extra guests. There is a gas and charcoal grill for cooking up a tasty barbecue, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and sitting around the campfire under the stars.
The Escanaba River State Forest and the Huron Mountains offers many hiking and mountain biking opportunities as well as public lands for hunting and fishing around Big Bay. Great off-roading on the many back roads and trails through the forest. Dock of the Bay Cabins has easy access to the snowmobile trails that connect all over the Upper Peninsula. Trails lead from Big Bay through the Huron Mountains to L'Anse and Baraga or down towards Marquette. Snowmobile and ATV rental across the road from Dock of the Bay Cabins. Daily or weekly rentals plus tax Rent both units at Reduced Rate.

Dock
of the Bay has two units side by side with a long covered
deck in front of the cabins for eating your meals at the
picnic table and enjoying the beautiful view of Lake
Independence. Early risers will be treated to awesome
sunrises. 
Bring
your water toys and enjoy the wonderful sand beach for
swimming and water fun. A 12' boat comes with the cabin or
you can bring your own boat. Boat ramp at Perkins Park next
door to Dock of the Bay. Lake Independence is a great
fishing lake and well known for Jumbo Perch and Northern
Pike as well as Walleye and Small Mouth Bass.
