The Get-a-Way Cottage is located just 1.5 miles east of Grand Marais, MI by the shores of Lake Superior, near the Pictures Rocks National Lakeshore, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Get-a-Way Cabin is Open Year Round.

The Get-a-Way Cottage is a snug little three-bedroom cabin on a wooded lot on Lake Superior. With a fishing pond. . . the Sucker River . . . and a beach on Lake Superior . . . What more could you ask for? Just refresh yourself and enjoy the U. P. life. Wonderful view of the lake from all rooms of the cabin.

The Get-A-Way Cottage has three bedrooms with a double bed in each room and a full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. The cabin has a complete kitchen with a stove/oven, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and cooking and eating utensils. The dinning room has table with chairs and there is a snack bar.

The living room has two satellite TVs with VCR & DVD players, chairs, sofa, and an awesome view of the lake.

The Get-a-Way Cottage will sleep up to 5 guests.

The entry room has a small washer & dryer and is great for for fishing and swimming gear or for coats, boots, and helmets.

Linens and towels are provided but bring paper products and beach towels.There are no phones in the cabin for a perfect get-a-way.

The cottage has a deck with a bench and chairs, a park style charcoal grill, picnic table, and a small campfire pit.

The small lake by the cottage, Walden Pond, was formed by the Sucker River. There is a dock with a row boat that you can use on the pond for fishing. You might catch a mess of panfish in Walden Pond for a delicious dinner. Anglers will also find good fishing in the Sucker River and other local streams. Nice beach on Lake Superior for relaxing or going for a swim.

The Get-a-Way Cottage is near the Lake Superior State Forest for hiking, canoeing, birding, ATVing, hunting, and fishing.

The Getaway Rental Cottage is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping in Grand Marais and the eastern entrance to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore where you can visit the Grand Sable Dunes, Sable Falls, AuSable Light House, Grand Sable Lake, and Log Slide.

In the winter, plenty of room for a couple of trucks & trailers, and the cabin is just a mile or so from the main snowmobile trails. You ride right from your door with easy trail access to the groomed trail system.  Cross-country skiers will find groomed trails waiting for them to glide through the silent woods.

The Get-A-Way Cottage is Non Smoking & Pet free.

Check in is 4PM or after & check out is 10AM
Priced per night and number of guests at the cabin.
There is a 2 night minimum.
Maximum of 5 guests
