3 bedroom home with attached garage located on Forest Highway 13 in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, only 12 miles south of Munising, Michigan. |
Hiawatha's Hideaway is now a 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom home. The two bedrooms on the main floor have a queen-sized bed in each room and the bathroom has a tub/ shower combination.
The third bedroom is located downstairs and has a king-sized bed and a double-sized bed with quilts. The bedroom is carpeted and there is tongue and groove cedar on the new walls and ceiling. The bedroom walks into a spacious ceramic tile bathroom with a separate vanity room with 2 sinks adjacent to the shower room with a large tiled shower. The bathroom is also done in tongue and groove cedar!

The kitchen and living area on the main floor is an open concept design and decorated with a northwoods look with wildlife mounts of deer, bear, duck, lake trout, and blue gill. There are two double sofa sleepers, Satellite TV, DVD player, and a few board games. The downstairs living area has a futon couch that converts into a double bed and another couch. Hiawatha's Hideaway will accommodate up to 14 guests.

The full kitchen contains a large refrigerator with an ice maker, glass top stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, and utensils. Full basement with washer and dryer. |
Relax around the fire pit in the back yard and enjoy a campfire under the stars or roasting hotdogs. Wood is provided for your fire and there is yard furniture.
Hiawatha's Hideaway is only 1.5 miles from Pete's Lake where you will find a great sand beach for swimming and water sports with a dock for fishing. Spot Lake and Kimble Lake are within walking distance and there are several other lakes nearby for fishing and canoeing. There is a 14' fishing boat with boat seats, oars, and a trailer available for rent and you can bring your own motor. Conveniently located across from cross-country ski trails, and on the snowmobile trail.
