This is the ideal location for horse owners to bring their own horses as there are portable corrals available and the Pine Marten Horse Trail is nearby. We have space for your horses and trailers so you can ride through the forest, just you and your horse, without another human being in sight.
The Pine Marten Horse Trail (Map) can also be used for cross country skiing, biking, or hiking so you can take that trip through the forest that you've always dreamed about.
Fall colors are beautiful as the forest abounds with hardwoods. Any time of year is a great opportunity for some outstanding wildlife photographs. You will see the creatures of the forest everywhere you look.
Snowmobile through the deep woods, then end up back at the cottage or at your favorite night spot. You can snowmobile anywhere you want from here, this area has deep snow and over 300 miles of trails connecting to the over 2,500 miles of trails in the Upper Peninsula. For the ultimate winter adventure spend the day dog sledding. Snowmobile rentals in Munising. Cross Country ski and mountain bike trails nearby. Enjoy the best of the entire Munising area while staying in the beautiful Hiawatha National Forest.
