Vacation On the shores of Beautiful South Manistique Lake in Curtis, MI in the Upper Peninsula

 

FOR FISHING, BOATING, ATV'ing, HUNTING, OR JUST RELAXING

LOCATION - LakeShore Resort is located near Curtis on the east shore of South Manistique Lake. Look for the Lakeshore Resort's sign on H-33, midway between U.S. 2 and Curtis.curtis mi in the upper peninsula

COTTAGES - Our pleasant well-kept cottages are furnished with SATELLITE DISH TV's and all the necessary equipment for housekeeping. Queen-Double-Twin beds in cottages. All linens and blankets are furnished plus there are microwaves in all units. All cottages have a new water softner system. We ask our guests to bring their own dish towels, bath towels, and paper products. All nine modern cottages are on the lakefront, handy to the dock and fish cleaning house. There are no hills to climb, walk out of your cabin and onto the shore or dock. One 14ft. aluminum boat is included in cottage rental. Bring your own boat if you wish. SPRING AND FALL RATES.

FISHING - South Manistique Lake is noted for good fishing and for its great variety of fish: Northern Pike, Walleye, Large and Small Mouth Bass, Muskie, Tiger Muskie, and an abundance of Panfish-Perch, Bluegills, Rock Bass and Sunfish. Trout have recently been stocked. Whitefish are also caught in June. Walleyes strike best in May, June, and September. There are Trout streams nearby, also Salmon and Trout trolling on Lake Superior, a short drive from the resort. ICE FISHING IS GREAT.

lakeshore resort curtis michigan lodgingSWIMMING - The water is crystal clear for bathing. There is a gradual slope from the sandy shore. The lake bottom is sandy and nice for the smallest children. There is 250 feet of sand beach going out into the lake.

RECREATION - The surrounding country is very scenic, having many logging trails. You can go golfing, canoeing, ATV'ing, or mountain biking. Direct access to back roads and ORV trails for some off-roading fun, so bring your ATV's and enjoy great riding.

There are good highways leading to many places of interest: STRAITS OF MACKINAC BRIDGE, MACKINAC ISLAND, SENEY WILDLIFE REFUGE, PICTURED ROCKS, TAHQUAMENON FALLS, FAMOUS SOO LOCKS, THE BIG SPRINGS, THOMPSON FISH HATCHERY, SEUL CHOIX LIGHTHOUSE, and the FAYETTE HISTORIC TOWNSITE.

HUNTERS - We have a closed garage to hang your deer. Check with us for tips on where to hunt.

FOR THE SHOPPER -The Curtis area has many stores, restaurants, gift shops, antique shops, and marinas for your pleasure. Also an ATM machine and a gas station.

WINTER RECREATION - The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is famous for it's wintertime pleasures which include hundreds of miles of groomed trails for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. You can also go ice fishing for Walleye in December and Northern Pike and Perch in February. Lighted Parking Lot.
