The Lakeshore Log Lodge on Lake Superior is located just north of Highway M-28, 10 miles west of Munising, 5 miles west of Christmas Kewadin Casino, and 3 miles east of the Brownstone Restaurant in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This beautiful log home faces west on Lake Superior for incredible sunsets. Enjoy your vacation visiting area waterfalls, Grand Island, and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Go cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, or take the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tour or the Pictured Rocks Cruise.
The Lakeshore Log Lodge has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms with a double size jacuzzi tub in the basement bathroom. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the bunk bedroom has two queen-sized beds and a twin bed. There is also a loft in the bunk bedroom that is a fun spot for children or young adults to sleep. A ladder leads to the loft and will hold several blowup mattresses. Linens and towels are included, but please bring your paper products.
The great room has a sitting and dining area with a wood stove, satellite TV with a DVD player and Sirius radio. Complete kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and utensils. There are picnic tables on the front deck so you can have meals inside or out overlooking the lake. Outdoor cooking enthusiasts will enjoy the gas grill on the back deck. Lots of beautiful views from inside and out. Watch for the eagles that perch on a tree near the lake. Listen to the loons. Relax, read a book from our extensive bookcase while enjoying the warmth of a wood fire. Have coffee, watch the stars or just enjoy the view from a rooftop deck 50' over Lake Superior. AuTrain Beach is one mile away and visible from the deck. There is access to the Lake Superior in front of the house with a great area for swimming or enjoying the sunshine. Launch a canoe or kayak right out front or try out the regulation horseshoe pits.
Snowmobile and ORV trail access is right across the highway so you can ride from the door. Our average snowfall is over 200 inches for lots of winter fun. There is a heated attached garage for repairing snowmobiles and lots of parking space for trailers or campers. There is also a laundry room and an exercise room with free weights and a Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike. There is a tanning bed in the basement bathroom. Rates: Winter Rates

(April - May) & (Day after Labor Day - November) Rates are for 8 adults. Each additional adult is $20 per night. Directions: Follow Hwy M-28 10 miles west of Munising; 5 miles past Christmas Kewadin Casino. Go 1/4 mile past Koski Rd and turn right on Sunset Drive, the first right after Koski Rd. There is a streetlight across the highway. If you get to the AuTrain blinker you have gone 1 mile too far. The driveway has a three-way fork about 1/4 mile down; go left. A wood-fired portable sauna (The AuTrain Rolling Hot Box) is also available for $100/stay.
