Lakeshore Log Lodge On Lake Superior
The Lakeshore Log Lodge on Lake Superior is located just north of Highway M-28, 10 miles west of Munising, 5 miles west of Christmas Kewadin Casino, and 3 miles east of the Brownstone Restaurant in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This beautiful log home faces west on Lake Superior for incredible sunsets.
Enjoy your vacation visiting area waterfalls, Grand Island, and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Go cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, or take the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tour or the Pictured Rocks Cruise.
The Lakeshore Log Lodge has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms with a double size jacuzzi in the basement bathroom. There is a king and a twin bed in the master bedroom; the main floor bedroom has a queen and a twin bed; the 3rd bedroom has a queen and a twin bed; and the bunk room has two queen beds and a twin. There is a sleeping loft in the bunk room with space for several sleeping bags (great for kids). There is also a loft over the great room that overlooks the lake. Linens and towels are included, but please bring your paper products.
The great room has a sitting and dining area with a wood stove, satellite TV with a DVD player and Sirius radio. Complete kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dishes and utensils. A washer and dryer are located on the main level.
The deck is furnished with outdoor furniture and there is a picnic table so you can have your meals inside or on the deck overlooking the lake. Outdoor cooking enthusiasts will enjoy the gas grill on the back deck.
Lots of beautiful views from inside and out. Watch for the eagles that perch on a tree near the lake. Listen to the loons. Relax, read a book from our extensive bookcase while enjoying the warmth of a wood fire. Have coffee, watch the stars or just enjoy the view from a rooftop deck 50' over Lake Superior.
AuTrain Beach is one mile away and visible from the
deck. There is access to Lake Superior in front of the
house with a great area for swimming or enjoying the
sunshine. Launch a canoe or kayak right out front.
Snowmobile and ORV trail access is right across the highway so you can ride from the door. Our average snowfall is over 200 inches for lots of winter fun. There is a heated attached garage for repairing snowmobiles and lots of parking space for trailers or campers.
There is also a laundry room and an exercise area with free weights and a Schwinn Airdyne exercise bike. There is a tanning bed in the basement bathroom.
