Moosehead Lodging offers 4 completely furnished
housekeeping cabins and a 2 bedroom mobile home with fully
equipped kitchens. Three cabins are 2 bedrooms and one cabin
is one bedroom. Some of the cabins and the mobile home can
accommodate up to six people. Each cabin has an automatic
coffee maker, picnic table, and outdoor grill. Bed linens
are supplied but bring your own bath towels and
washcloths. Moosehead Lodging offers 4 R.V. Sites with electric, water, and septic hook-ups. There is a large spacious lawn with swings, over 400 feet of sandy beach frontage for swimming and each cabin comes with the use of an aluminum boat. Motors can be rented on a daily or weekly basis. There is also a public access if you want to bring your own boat. (17' foot maximum at our dock) Watch beautiful sunsets out over the lake, relax by an open fire in the evenings and maybe see the northern lights. Nestled among tall trees surrounded with wildlife and abundant with fish, Caribou Lake is an all sports lake, open for fishing, water skiing and just lounging around. Caribou Lake holds perch, walleye, pike, and smallmouth bass. Almost 900 acres and shallow in most areas with a depth of 12 feet, it makes for a great swimming area as well.
During the winter, come for snowmobiling, cross country skiing and great ice fishing. We have extra parking for trailers. DeTour Village offers restaurants, gift shops, a grocery store, churches, gas stations, bait and sporting goods supply, a bank, credit union, museum, and laundromat.
