Our rafting trips through Piers Gorge and down the Sturgeon River are by paddle rafts and accommodate 7-8 people. Rafters have paddles and help maneuver the raft through the white water and around the rocks on our exciting trip.
PIERS GORGE on the MENOMINEE RIVER
Take a thrilling ride through the gorge, a class IV rapids, as you paddle the raft by rugged bluffs and stunning scenery. Rafters must be 11 years old and at least 100 pounds. Younger or lighter children over 4 years old accompanied by an adult may ride to the Piers Gorge Trail and watch the rafters as they head down this challenging river.

EQUIPMENT
We provide US Coast Guard approved life jackets, helmets, and paddles. We offer rental gear such as wetsuits, splash jackets, and river booties if you would like additional equipment. Don’t forget your river shoes, drinking water, sunscreen, and a change of clothes for after your trip. Please check our main website for appropriate clothing for your trip, including our rafting trips on those cooler days. Be sure to notice that there are several items of clothing that we do not recommend for safety reasons.
Please arrive 30 minutes before any rafting trip for picking up your gear and instructional information about being safe on the water and paddling as a team.
