Vacation at Rice's Rental Cabin by
Millecoquins Lake for fun all year round. Rice's Rental Cabin is only 50 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge and just north of US-2 near Engadine in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Why drive when you can be relaxing by the lake or out on the trails. Enjoy swimming, boating, water sports, fishing, hiking, hunting, ATVing, and snowmobiling or you just want to relax and forget about the rest of the busy world, then Rice's Cabin by Millecoquins Lake is waiting for you. Rice's Cabin is smoke free and has a complete kitchen with full-sized appliances, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and cooking & dining utensils. Washer and Dryer. Cable & Direct TV with VCR & DVD players and a nice Garden Tub.
Rice's vacation home has two bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and a bunk bed with a double futon on the bottom and a twin on the top. Linens are provided but please bring your towels and paper products. There is a charcoal grill in the yard for your cook-outs and a fire pit for campfires and roasting hot dogs, marshmallows and s'mores. Millecoquins Lake is just across the road from the cottage for wonderful summer fun. There is a public beach for day use right across the road from the cottage. The beach has a nice sand bottom that is great for the children. There is a dock just around the corner where you can sit on your lawn chair and forget the cares of the world. There is a 14'boat included for rowing around the lake or fishing and we have a rental motor available. Plenty of room to tie up your boat if you bring it with you.
Anglers will have fun fishing for largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye, and pan fish &endash; delicious cooked on the grill. Thousands of acres of public land are nearby for hiking, hunting, and ATVing. ATVers will enjoy the local trails as well as the Naubinway-Newberry trail through the Lake Superior State Forest for some really fun riding. Rice's cottage is conveniently located near many attractions in the eastern Upper Peninsula that are just right for a day trip. Visit the Soo and see the locks at work as ships from all over the world pass through or take the boat tour and travel through the locks in the tour boat. Lighthouse lovers might like to visit the Point Iroquois Lighthouse and the lighthouse at Whitefish Point. Lesa will be glad to give you directions to visiting some of these interesting attractions. Snowmobilers will find easy access from the cabin door to trails that head north towards Newberry and great riding in the Lake Superior State Forest. Trails lead to Tahquamenon Falls or over to Grand Marais. Stop to warm up and have a nice lunch before you head back to the cabin for a relaxing evening. Snowmobile rentals in Curtis and Naubinway.
