Lodging at the Rock Cut Cabin overlooking Lake Superior 2 miles south of Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Enjoy the Marquette area while you vacation in this comfortable small cabin right across from Lake Superior. The bedrooms and living area are situated on the upper level of the cabin above the garage. The Rock Cut Cabin has two bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and bunk beds in the other. There is a 13" wall-mounted TV in the main bedroom. Bathroom has a tub and shower combination. Linens and towels are furnished, but you need to bring your paper products.
There is a charcoal grill and a picnic table for your outdoor barbecues. Sit in the lawn furniture around the outdoor fireplace and enjoy the awesome view of the lake and roast some marshmallows. Early risers will be treated to spectacular sunrises over the lake. The Rock Cut Cabin is only 2 miles south of the downtown Marquette and Northern Michigan University, the Superior Dome, the Olympic Education Center, Marquette General Hospital, several museums, libraries, galleries, unique shops, and fine restaurants. You will find biking, hiking, and snowmobile trails right across the highway from the cabin, a wonderful spot for a stroll along the Lake Superior shoreline or rock picking along the waterfront. Visit South Beach on Lake Superior a few blocks north of the cabin where you will find a sandy beach, restrooms, volleyball court, and a playground. Boat ramp at the Lower Harbor.
Winter brings lots of snow to Marquette County and snowmobilers will find the trail right across from the cabin that gives you easy access to 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Ride east towards Munising and the Hiawatha National Forest and northwest to Big Bay for some fun in the Huron Mountains. Local trails connect with over 2,500 miles of groomed trails that lead throughout the entire Upper Peninsula. Cross-country groomed ski trails are nearby and the cabin is conveniently located near Marquette Mountain for downhill skiing and snowboarding. Try an ice fishing adventure or just walk through the woods on snowshoes. Winter is fun in Marquette County. Rates:
