Rock Ridge Camp is located on the rim of the Rock River Canyon in the Hiawatha National Forest, southwest of AuTrain, MI in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Access to Rock Ridge Camp is by snowmobile only in winter, four wheel drive or ATV when it is wet, and 2 wheel drive when the roads are dry. There are about 2 miles of rustic woods trails off 1 mile of unplowed county road. The Rock River runs through the corner of the 80-acre site and is a known trout stream that is only a 1/4 mile hike from the cabin. Au Train Lake is about 3 miles away and Lake Superior is about 5 miles away.

Snowmobile trailers can be parked at N7865 Sunset Rd (off M28) where your hosts Dale & Emily Cummings will greet you and haul your gear & supplies in on a 3' x 6' covered utility sled which can be left for your use. A hitch and light kit can easily be attached to your snowmobile if you wish.

Snowmobilers looking for a retreat can enjoy the many woods trails in this serene location, bordered on three sides by Hiawatha National Forest. The cabin is about 1 mile from trail 417 or 2 miles from trail 8.

This "Rustic but Refined" camp has a bedroom area with a queen bed
and a sleeping loft with air beds. There is a futon in the great room.
The bathroom has a shower and ample hot water.
Bedding and towels are provided, but sleeping bags are suggested in extreme cold weather.

The kitchen area has running water, a stove with oven, microwave, refrigerator, and stovetop coffeepot. Dishes, cookware, and utensils are provided. Please bring your own drinking water. Additional coolers are suggested.

Three decks provide awesome views of the wildlife, surrounding woods, and the Rock River Canyon.

There is a gas grill for cookouts and a fire pit for campfires.
 
Firewood is provided for the woodstove.
 

Hunters can enjoy 80 acres of private property and endless public lands for bow, bear, and black powder season. Apple and Beech trees and several large food plots provide food for deer. The Rock River Canyon is frequented by grouse, bear, canines, and even an occasional moose. A cabin rooftop platform, two heated & two heatable blinds, and 1 double treestand are provided. Numerous tree stand and ground blind locations can be established on well-traveled trails. Blinds can be baited before your arrival if pre-arranged.

ATV riders and summer vacationers can enjoy trips to AuTrain Beach where you will find a wonderful sandy beach on the shores of Lake Superior. ATV trails are expanding and improving in the area so you will fund some great riding. Chatham is within 6 trail miles.

Rates: 3 night minimum stay. Weekly Rates Available
Summer and Winter: $350.00 for 3 nights - double occupancy.
$100.00 per night for each additional night.
$25.00 per night for each additional person.

Deer Rifle Season: $300.00 per night up to 4 adults. $50.00 per night for each additional person.
Bow Season: $250.00 per night
