Rocky Shores has a large master bedroom with a king sized bed and a connecting half bath. The other two bedrooms have two twin beds in each room and there is a full bath with tub. Bedding and towels are provided. Comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. Replete with old world charm, this unique home has a modern kitchen with full sized refrigerator and stove plus a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. It is fully equipped with cooking utensils and dishes. The large spacious landscaped lawn leads to a private lakefront on Lake Superior where you will find nearly 200' of shoreline and a firepit for your evening campfires. Roast some marshmallows over the wood fire and enjoy relaxing by the lake and listening to the waves roll up on the shore. The starlit sky is unusually brilliant over Lake Superior and, if you are there at the right time, the northern lights will put on a brilliant show for you.
Ontonagon offers charter fishing or guided fishing trips, a lighthouse tour of the Ontonagon Lighthouse, a very interesting Historical Museum, waterfalls, and Old Victoria Location, where some of the old log homes are being restored. Snowmobile trails go right by Rocky Shores and connect with trails all over the Upper Peninsula. Ride from the door and enjoy winter in this heavy snow area. Snowmobile rental in Ontonagon. The Porkies offers miles of cross country ski trails and a downhill ski area that overlooks Lake Superior for some great winter fun.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and the Ottawa
National Forest near Ontonagon offer many opportunities for
those who love to do things outdoors. There are hiking
trails, fishing in area lakes and streams, hunting land, and
mountain bike trails. It's only a short walk to the overlook
above Lake of the Cloud for a spectacular view of the Lake
and the surrounding wilderness. The Visitor Center contains
interesting exhibits and there are daily activities
scheduled. Excellent mountain biking trails in the Ottawa
National Forest.
