Lodging at Seasons on the Bay Waterfront Vacation Home, 10 miles northeast of L'Anse, MI on Huron Bay in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
A large field stone gas fireplace in the great room extends up to the cathedral ceiling, and there is a satellite TV with VCR and a DVD player with a library of family videos for evenings in front of the fire. The open loft above the great room provides additional living area. A second stone fireplace is in the recently added breakfast room, where you can enjoy sun filled mornings by the window wall overlooking the lake. Seasons on the Bay has two bedrooms downstairs with a queen bed in each room and a full bath with a tub/shower combination. There is a large bedroom in the loft with 2 double beds providing comfortable sleeping for up to 8 guests. The gourmet kitchen was completely redone in 2003 and has a full sized stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. All dishes, cooking utensils, and linens are provided for our guests. Laundry area with washer and dryer. Enjoy your evenings by the fire pit near the shore or relax in the 7 man hot tub on one of the three deck areas. A gas grill is perfect for preparing a dinner to be enjoyed on the deck as you view the spectacular sunsets over Huron Bay.
There is a large dock with seating to experience the view up and down the entire bay. A paddle boat and a 14 foot fishing boat are provided for your enjoyment. The beach is shallow so the children can have fun in the water on those warm summer days. For the water sports enthusiasts, Huron Bay is ideal for water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing so bring your boat for some great water fun. Fishermen will enjoy fishing year round in Huron Bay which is noted for its walleye and trout, and there are three trout streams within a mile of the cabin. Fire up the grill for a delicious fresh fish fry.
Enjoy a pleasant walk in the woods on the Slate River Falls hiking trail or serious hikers can climb Mt. Arvon, Michigan's highest point. Visit beautiful Canyon Falls 9 miles south of L'Anse, sometimes called the Grand Canyon of the U.P.. Easy access to snowmobile and ATV trails for some great riding, and a Casino, golf course, snowmobile, and ATV rentals are just 15 miles south in the Baraga and L'Anse area. Winter brings heavy snow and great snowmobiling here in the edge of the Huron Mountains. The main trail is easily accessible from the cabin and there is a gas/party store within a mile of the cottage. Cross Country ski trails in L'Anse and great ice fishing on Huron Bay and Keweenaw Bay. Have some fun in the snow! To get to Seasons on the Bay Rental Cottage, take Highway US-41 to L'Anse and go straight into town.
