Lake Superior Sport Fishing Charters and Tours
Enjoy a 4 hour or 6 hour fishing adventure for Lake Trout, King Salmon, Steelhead, Coho Salmon, and Splake. Fish for that giant Lake Trout or troll for salmon or steelhead and enjoy a wonderful day on the waters of Lake Superior. We provide the quality fishing gear need for your trip including Big Jon downriggers. You will need to purchase a Michigan fishing license.
Our charter boat, the Quincy D, is a U S Coast Guard and Michigan DNR approved 30’ Baha Cruiser that is fully equipped for safety including VHF radios, commercial life vests, first aid kit, and water lights. The Quincy D is also equipped with a 11” low range fish finder, GPS, and has radar hooked up to help us stay in the right fishing location. We have just installed a new auto pilot system and a new video system for capturing out trips.
There is a nice wide deck for comfortable fishing, a small fridge, below deck quarters with a table, and a restroom. We provide bottled water but you might want to bring some snacks. Food can be arranged with an advanced notice. The boat also has an up to date audio system for an IPod or MP3 player.
Most charters depart from the Lower Harbor in Marquette, but we do schedule charter fishing trips in Munising on Lake Superior and on Lake Michigan at Manistique a couple times during the year. If you are interested in fishing from these locations, contact us as soon as possible to reserve your charter.
Fish or visit Stannard Rock Lighthouse on Lake Superior, one of the most exciting adventures we offer. We head out to a remote lighthouse on an island 40 nautical miles north of Marquette in Lake Superior where fish feed near the surface and large trout are often caught. We provide bottled water and snacks. This is a full day trip so bring you own food or we can supply food if you request.
SIGHTSEEING, LIGHTHOUSE and SUNSET CRUISES
Enjoy a leisurely sightseeing cruise along the scenic shoreline of Lake Superior near Marquette. Take a lighthouse cruise to view and photograph some of the lighthouses that can only be seen from the water. View the Marquette Lighthouse, the Granite Island Lighthouse, or one of the other lights further up the coast. As you pass the ore dock that is used to ship tons of Tackonite from the Tilden and Empire Mines near Negauneee to the steel mills, you just might see a freighter loading or unloading at the dock.
FISHING TRIPS ON INLAND LAKES
In the early spring or fall try our guided fishing trips in inland lakes that are home to many species of fish. We usually fish for Walleye, Musky, Northern Pike, and Small Mouth Bass. These fish come in trophy size depending on the lake where we are fishing. Our boat is 20’ with up to date electronics and safety gear. Full day trips are available and can be booked for several lakes. All fishing tackle, bait, boat and/or kayak-canoes are included in your trip. Inland lake fishing can be a single day or a week long retreat. Please call for more information. Depending on your trip, meals may be provided.
