Seney National Wildlife Refuge is just 10 miles west of Curtis. Hike, bike, or canoe in the Refuge or take the Wildlife Drive. Stop at the Visitor Center and enjoy the interpretive displays and special exhibits. Many unusual birds make their home in the refuge offering wonderful opportunities for photographers. Take a day trip and visit Seul Choix Lighthouse near Gulliver and Big Springs, Kitch-iti-Kipi Michigan's largest spring, in Palms Book State Park. A trip north east will take you to the beautiful Tahquamenon Upper and Lower Falls, Whitefish Point Lighthouse, and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum.
