Sunset Pines Resort is located on South Manistique Lake, four miles south of Curtis, Michigan in the beautiful clear Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We feature cozy, comfortable housekeeping cabins in a secluded and quiet woodland lakeside setting.
Our large level park like grounds make it easy to enjoy our beautiful waterfront. The shallow beach with a sandy bottom is perfect for the kids and we have a 400’ dock for sitting, sunning, and fishing. A 14’ aluminum boat is included with each cabin rental with motors available for rent. A boat ramp is next door so bring your boat and enjoy boating, water skiing, and tubing.  Boat & ATV rental in Curtis.

Sunset Pines offers 9 rustic and modern log cabins with 1 to 4 bedrooms and a 1 bedroom chalet. All the cabins have a completely furnished kitchen equipped with a full size refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishes, and cooking utensils. Each cabin has satellite TV and a wood-burning fireplace. The bedrooms are attractively and comfortably furnished and the bathrooms have a shower.  There is electric heat or a gas furnace in each cabin. Linens are furnished, but please bring your own towels and paper products.

The Modern Cabins are log exterior with spacious rooms and a wood-burning fireplace. The cabins are winterized for year round comfort and offer a wonderful view of gorgeous sunsets over South Manistique Lake. The modern cabins have 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms and the rates range from $550 to $750 per week.

The Rustic Cabins were the original log cabins at the resort that have been modernized. Each cabin has a wood-burning fireplace and satellite TV.  These cabins have 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms and the rates range from $475 to $600 per week.

The Chalet has one bedroom plus a loft with a modern kitchen and bath. The Chalet has a wood-burning fireplace and lakeside deck.

Each cabin has a charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking and a picnic table by the cabin. There is a coin laundry and we furnish equipment for badminton, horseshoes and volleyball. We have a Bean-Bag Toss and a small playground for the kids.
Sunset Pines Resort has large well-kept grounds.

There is a safe sandy beach play area, screened fish house with running water, and extra freezer space for your fish. A 14’ aluminum boat goes with each cabin for fishing and enjoying the lake.  Motors for your boat are available for rent and we also have a Bass Boat for rent. South Manistique Lake is known for great fishing for walleye, whitefish, pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, musky, perch, sunfish, bluegill, rock bass, and bullheads with many trout streams nearby for fly fishing. Guide service is available.

Many of our guests like to sit around the fire pit and watch the stunning sunsets.

The Curtis area is centrally located for visiting many nearby attractions such as the Seney Wildlife Refuge, the Seul Choix Lighthouse, and beautiful Tahquamenon Falls. Golfers might like to golf at the Blue Heron Golf Course just west of Curtis or the Newberry Country Club. Sunset Pines Resort borders acres of virgin land, perfect for the nature lover.  Then after a great day in the outdoors, relax in comfort with your feet up in front of the fire.
