Minnesota, & Wisconsin. Gray Wolf can fun 35
mph and jump 12 feet high. This predator I see
roaming in my back yard on occasion. BRN-15: Country Farm My Pen & Ink Country Farm was chosen to hang
in the William Bonifas Art Studio October through
December. It was quite an honor for me to have my
first submitted drawing accepted BRN-40: NN Road The traditional barn nestled in a field. I
especially enjoyed drawing this barn because the
barn means so much to my client. She totally loves
her barns. DRW-32: Nature's Wonder Botanical name for these flowers, Lilium
Martagon. Common name, Wild Lily. These beautiful
flowers bloom in late spring. A friend of mine sent
me a photo he had taken of this amazing flower
speckled with butterflies. ESC-67: Great White Castle of the
North Classic, elegant is how I would describe this
beautiful Victorian Castle. It's glass walled
exterior elevator and medieval looking cupolas
dominate the light filled waterfront scene at the
foot of Ludington Street. In the evenings, the
lounge would resonate with sounds of music from
performing musicians that, I too, was a part
of. FAY-01: Smelting Furnace Fayette Smelting Furnace.. . as a child many
days remembered in Fayette Harbor. As an artist,
I've tried to compile some of those thoughts to
paper, recaptured memories, and hope my drawings do
the same for you. FAY-17: Window View Stone edges peering through a distorted pane.
The windows at Fayette State Park pose a
picturesque view of the bluff where I spent many
years as a young girl climbing to the top! FAY-19: St. Peter's FAY-48: Fayette View Blessing of the fleet and my trips to Fayette
State Park. I still visualize how it was during the
family gatherings of that day. Priests from St.
Peter the Fisherman Parish would march in
procession from the church to the bay for the
ceremony. Boats came from miles along the shore of
northern Lake Michigan, the harbors in the Lower
Peninsula, and even from Lake Superior for a
blessing after the memorial service. The chosen
"Queen of the Fleet" would then toss flowers on the
water for the men who died on the Great Lakes GAR-03: Main Street Memories Many memories are encapsulated in these walls.
As an artist, I have attempted to keep these
buildings alive, however, if only in our minds. In
2007 these buildings were torn down. The town of
Garden is now trying to raise money to incorporate
a Veterans Memorial Park. GUL-5: "Sis-Shwa" Do you believe in a Ghost? The tales of Joseph
Willie Townsend abound through this truly
magnificent "1895" brick Seul Choix Lighthouse on
the shores of Lake Michigan at Gulliver. MAN-34: East Breakwater Light Manistique, MI MAN-36: Water Tower Whenever you're driving through Manistique,
Michigan you can't miss the prestigious water tower
that is now being used as a summer information
center. The renovated building is providing space
for ars related public events and public rest room
facilities, while preserving one of Manistique's
unique and historic buildings. MUN-62: Chapel Rock Headed east from Grand Portal Point, you come to
the very unique rock formations known as Chapel
Rock. This drawing on a wedding card or anniversary
card would become a keepsake for many years. PEO-69: Birch Bark Wigwams The Indian Village provides a link to our past.
Native American people who lived many years ago
lived during the era of earth lodges and teepees
along the river banks. PEO-71: Silo Four Farming Country in Upper Michigan supports many
horizon views. Family farming and gathering around
the picnic table is becoming a thing of the past.
Through my drawings, I've captured the essences of
a time gone by. PEO-80: Medicine Man Headdress * The images you purchase will not have the word "Copyright" written on them.
Enjoy a special keepsake with a drawing created from a photo of your home, cabin, place of business, or pet. 8" x 10" Custom Drawing: $175.00 Music Lovers
Hello! My drawings have served as keepsakes of
ancestral homes, historical architecture, barns,
and even main street memories. Whatever purpose
they serve for the client, they have become a
source of pride for me, I also spent my time this
past year overseeing the Garden Gallery. I have had
the rewarding opportunity displaying many talented
artists work as well as gaining many new friends.
Life is good!
