You are invited, while enjoying all that the beautiful Munising and Alger County area has to offer, to rest and relax in one of our exceptionally clean and quite comfortable rooms!

Nestled against the hills which semicircle Munising, in a quiet residential area, the Terrace Motel is located just three blocks off M-28, the main route into and through Munising. Our setting is quiet and peaceful, yet also just blocks from the center of Munising, close to restaurants, shopping, gas, boat tours and Lake Superior. In fact, you can catch glimpses of the Lake and Grand Island from the bench swing toward the top of the property!

The Terrace Motel is open year-round. All our rooms are ground level, with at-door parking. All rooms feature extended cable TV and wireless internet access, and have guest controlled heat. Coffee is served in the lobby every morning. There is a gameroom building which includes not only a full kitchen and ice machine, but also a pool table, air hockey, a sauna, and a heated garage area for snowmobile repair during winter. In addition, there is a playset with swings and a slide for children, a small basketball court, a charcoal grill, and a fire pit.

Munising Lodging: Terrace Motel

We offer single rooms, double rooms, and also some two-bedroom units. All rooms, plus the gameroom, are, by Michigan law, non-smoking. Our rates (described toward the end of the website) leave more money in your pocket than a number of other lodging options in the area, money to spend on all there is to see and do here… which is, after all, why you are coming in the first place!

We have a large area for parking trailers… snowmobile right from your motel room door! We average over 200" of snow annually, making it easy to enjoy over 250 miles of marked and groomed trails through some of the best scenery nature has to offer!
