Tranquility Haven is located on Squaw Beach by Lake Superior in the town of Big Bay, MI, 25 miles north of Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Squaw Beach offers miles of sugar sand beach and shallow waters without rocks for excellent swimming, canoeing, and kayaking. Tranquility Haven offers three deluxe vacation lodgings under one roof. Fantasy beach House is a vacation home will accommodate a couple or a group of up to 14 guests. The Bay View Cabin will sleep up to 8 guests, and the Bay View Suite has one bedroom and is perfect for 2-4 guests. with 4 bunk beds,
and a large game room with a pool table, bar, and exercise
room.
The Fantasy Beach House will sleep up to 14 guests, but is also perfect for a couple that just wants to relax in this beautiful home on the shores of Lake Superior.

This rustic three-bedroom cabin is located on the end of Tranquility Haven and is all on one floor. There is a great room with comfortable furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, and a satellite TV with a VCR player. The open concept kitchen contains all appliances including a dishwasher and a washer and dryer.

The three bedrooms are located just off the deck and
are all on the main floor.
Two bedrooms have a queen-size bed in each room and the
third bedroom has two double beds.
There is a sofa sleeper in the living room. The bathroom has
a tub/shower combination.
Bay View Lodge lodge has access to the deck where you will
find outdoor furniture and grills for cooking.

Bay View Lodge sleeps up to 8 guests
This cozy one-bedroom lake view suite is located on the upper level over the deck and features a kitchen with a small grill, microwave, and a refrigerator. The bedroom has a king-size bed and there is a sofa sleeper in the living area for extra guests and a TV with a VCR player. A door on the main floor leads to the deck for relaxing or fixing a tasty bar-be-cue.

The deck overlooking the Lake has lawn furniture and gas and charcoal grills for outdoor cooking. The night sky is especially brilliant on the shores of Lake Superior as there are no city lights to mar the view.

Tranquility Haven in Big Bay is only 25 miles north of Marquette in the edge of the Huron Mountains. Enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior or venture into the forests for hiking, ATVing, hunting, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Uncle Ducky offers charter fishing on Lake Superior, guided inland fishing trips, and equipment rentals. There are many nearby lakes and streams beckoning the angler and kayaker. Lake Independence is noted for excellent fishing of pike, walleye, perch, and a variety of panfish. Boats can be rented in town and there is a public boat launch at Perkins Park. Visit the Thomas Rock Overlook for a great view of Lake Independence and Lake Superior.
Big Bay was the setting for filming parts of the classic movie "Anatomy of a Murder". Several businesses have interesting information and photos from this event. Lighthouse lovers will enjoy touring the Big Bay Lighthouse or the Marquette Lighthouse in Marquette. Marquette, the Upper Peninsula's largest city, also offers shopping, unique galleries, a Maritime Museum, Children's Museum, Lakeview Arena, the Olympic Training Center, and fine dining.
Tranquility Haven is within one mile of the main snowmobile trail and can be accessed right from the door of the lodgings. Ride the many trails in the Huron Mountains with trails leading all the way to Baraga. Excellent cross-country ski trails in Big Bay, Marquette, and Ishpeming and Marquette Mountain offers downhill skiing and snowboarding. Snowshoers will love stomping through the woods and ice fishing opportunities abound.
