The Tree House Rental Cottage is newly remodeled and sits on a hillside overlooking the AuTrain River, just 10 miles west of Munising in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Tree House has three bedrooms and an open concept living area with a separate dining area. The complete kitchen has full sized appliances, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and cooking & dining utensils. Laundry area with a washer and dryer.

A snack bar separates the kitchen from the living area where you will find comfortable furniture, a TV with an antenna and VCR player, and a custom built wood-burning fireplace. The ideal spot for sitting around and listening to a crackling fire on those cool evenings.

The Tree House has three bedrooms with a full bathroom with a tub and shower. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. One bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds, perfect for the kids. The master bedroom is located in the loft and has a queen-size bed. Towels, linens, and paper products are provided.

The large deck overlooks the river and the surrounding woods with a paved walkway and wooden steps with a handrail down to the dock. The AuTrain River is a lazy, shallow river with a sandy bottom and little current so it is perfect for the children to wade and play in the water by the dock. Sit on the dock and read your favorite book or enjoy a little sun and relaxation.

Two kayaks, life vests included, come with the cottage rental so you can paddle down the river to the take-out point or spend the afternoon and paddle all the way to Lake Superior. Enjoy the beautiful sandy Lake Superior Beach, only 1 mile from the cottage by road.

The cottage is only 100' from AuTrain Lake for boating, fishing, and water sports. There is a boat ramp at the Forest Campground so you can bring your own boat for water skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding, or getting out and catching some of those big fish.

The large yard surrounding the cottage offers ample parking and a basketball court. There is a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking, a picnic table, and a fire pit for evening campfires.

Sand beach on Lake Superior	Scott Falls, Highway M-28

Hike in the Pictured Rocks or on Grand Island, get out on Lake Superior on one of the boat tours or try your luck charter fishing, or visit some of the area waterfalls including Scott Falls just 1 mile from the cottage or AuTrain Falls, south on Forest Lake Road.
