Trout Lake Township Park offers a boat launch, camp sites, picnic areas, a ball diamond and ATV trails. The park has 83 camp sites, 60 with electric, a few on the lakefront. Camping area has a shower house, dump station, and bathrooms. Open May 15 to Oct 15. No electricity or water after October 15th. Phone 906-569-3299.

Lodging in Raco, MI on Highway M-28, 11 miles north of Trout Lake and 15 miles east of the M-123 & M-28 Junction:

  • Northwoods Trails Cabins and Bunkhouses, 1 mile east of Raco, MI on Highway M-28. Phone: 906-248-3460. Located in the Hiawatha National Forest in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Two 2 bedroom cabins with full kitchens and 2 bunkhouses, one with 2 bedrooms and the other with 3 bedrooms. Bunkhouses have living room, dining area, 2 bathrooms, and modern fully equipped kitchens. Large parking lot for trailers. Across from snowmobile and ATV trails.

Lodging in Hulbert, MI, 11 miles north of Trout Lake and about 5 miles west of the M-123 & M-28 junction

  • Hulbert Lake Lodge, P.O. Box 67, Hulbert, MI 49748. 906-876-2324. Our five log cabins overlook Hulbert Lake and sleep from 2 to 6 guests. Cabins have microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffee makers, Breakfast is served in the Lodge. A convenient headquarters for visiting many attractions and enjoying outstanding outdoor recreation. Fantastic fishing, snowmobiling, ice-fishing and cross-country skiing.
  • Sno Shu Inn, 906-876-2324, South Hulbert Road, Hulbert, MI 49748. Cozy housekeeping cabins for groups from 2 to 20. Snowmobile & ATV Rental and trails on the National Forest land across the road. Guests may use the facilities at the owners' Hulbert Lake Lodge, 2 miles away
