Most cabins have a lake view, a color TV (antenna), and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. All linens are also supplied.
Cabins have lawn chairs by the water for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful beauty of the north woods or reading that favorite book. Early risers might be treated to an awesome sunrise over the lake. Grill some burgers and corn on the cob, sit around the campfire and look at the stars.
Each cabin comes with a rowboat and there are 5 hp Honda motors available. You can also bring your own motor under 25 hp to use on the boat or bring your larger boat for water sports and fishing. Boat ramp nearby at the Township Park. Some bicycles are available for guests or bring your own. Ride into town for a snack or ice cream cone. Trout Lake is surrounded by the public lands of the Hiawatha National Forest and the Lake Superior State Forest so there are lots of opportunities for fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, and mountain biking. ATV trails lead throughout the forest for some great riding. ATV and snowmobile rentals are available in town. Winter brings lots of snow and Trout Lake is a central location for picking up trails heading all over the Upper Peninsula. Heated garage is available for any repair you may need to make to your sled.
Visit Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, or stop at the Garlyn Zoological Park and see the animals. The Trout Lake Township Park is just around the corner with a jungle gym, swings, and slides for the children. Trout
Lake Resort offers four cozy, rustic one and two bedroom log
cabins overlooking Trout Lake and a larger cabin that will
sleep up to 9 guests. Great for a family or group. Each
cabin comes with a row boat and has an outdoor BBQ grill and
picnic table. Enjoy a bonfire by the lake and don't forget
the marshmallows and hotdogs. 
The
sandy beach in front of the cabins is perfect for the whole
family. There is a dock for tying up the boat or catching
some sun. Bring your rafts and beach toys and have some
great water fun. Some toys are available for the little
tots. Trout Lake, also called Carp Lake, is large enough for
water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing as well as excellent
fishing. After a good day of fishing for Perch, Walleye, or
Bass, cook up a fresh fish dinner on the grill. 
Trout
Lake Resort is centrally located for enjoying area
attractions. Take a day trip to Paradise and see beautiful
Tahquamenon Upper and Lower Falls, the Great Lakes Shipwreck
Museum, and the Whitefish Point Lighthouse. Stop at the
Whitefish Point Bird Observatory and check out the birds in
the area and where to find wild flowers in bloom. Return by
Oswald's Bear Ranch and see all the bears.. A day trip to
the Soo will give you a chance to see ships from all over
the world as they pass through the Soo Locks. Visit the
Valley Camp Freighter Museum, or even take a boat trip
through the locks. Return by the Point Iroquois Lighthouse
and climb the tower for a great view of the entrance to the
St. Mary's River.
