Most cabins have a lake view, a color TV (antenna), and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. All linens are also supplied.
Cabins have lawn chairs by the water for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful beauty of the north woods or reading that favorite book. Early risers might be treated to an awesome sunrise over the lake. Grill some burgers and corn on the cob, sit around the campfire and look at the stars.
Each cabin comes with a rowboat and there are 5 hp Honda motors available. You can also bring your own motor under 25 hp to use on the boat or bring your larger boat for water sports and fishing. Boat ramp nearby at the Township Park. Some bicycles are available for guests or bring your own. Ride into town for a snack or ice cream cone. Trout Lake is surrounded by the public lands of the Hiawatha National Forest and the Lake Superior State Forest so there are lots of opportunities for fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, and mountain biking. ATV trails lead throughout the forest for some great riding. ATV and snowmobile rentals are available in town. Winter brings lots of snow and Trout Lake is a central location for picking up trails heading all over the Upper Peninsula. Heated garage is available for any repair you may need to make to your sled.
Visit Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, or stop at the Garlyn Zoological Park and see the animals. The Trout Lake Township Park is just around the corner with a jungle gym, swings, and slides for the children.
