Uncle Ducky Outfitters in Marquette offers guided and unguided canoe and kayak fishing trips on inland lakes and streams in the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We supply all the necessary equipment for your fishing trip, so all you need to do is bring your Michigan fishing license and drop your line in the water and see what happens. We also offer fishing equipment rentals such as canoes, boats, motors, rods, reels, tackle and much more for those who want to go fishing but don't have any gear.

Guided Trips
Take one of our guided trips and paddle on one of the remote lakes or streams while you do some fishing, enjoy the wilderness areas, and possibly see wildlife as they come down to the water to drink or fly overhead. We stop along the shoreline or the bank of a stream for lunch and to stretch our legs. Most of our trips are in one of our Old Town Canoes that are designed for fishing, but we also have aluminum boats available if we need more room or something larger for the lake where we are fishing. We can take up to a party of 4 in two boats or canoes. Families and children are welcome on our fishing trips.

Uncle Ducky Outfitters has some of the most experienced guides in the area and we offer trips on the AuTrain River, Michigamme River, the Escanaba River, and the Dead River along with the Greenwood Reservoir, the remote McCormick Tract Wilderness Area, Craig Lake State Park, and Huron Bay to name a few.

Many of our customers have never fished before or haven't been out for many years, so we offer instruction in fly-fishing or spin casting at no additional charge.

The inland lakes and streams of the Upper Peninsula are the home to a wide variety of warm water and cold water fish including Walleye, Northern Pike, Small Mouth and Large Mouth Bass, Salmon, Crappies, Steelhead, Book Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Panfish.

We offer trips of one or more days and will be happy to customize a trip for you. Fishing packages are available for the Marquette area, Michigamme, and for fishing in Huron Bay with lodging nearby. We also offer wilderness packages with camping at a rustic site.

Some of our Fishing Packages:

Spring Trout Fishing Package: Trout season starts the last weekend in April and continues through September 30th. The cool, deep lakes and streams of the Upper Peninsula offer good fishing for Brook Trout, Brown Trout, and Rainbows.

 

Spring Steelhead Fishing Package in the Tributary Rivers of Lake Superior beginning the last Saturday in April.

 

Canoe Fishing Package in Craig Lake State Park. Camping and fishing in this remote wilderness area of lakes and forests. We camp at one of the rustic campsites or in one of the rustic cabins. Rental tents available.

 

Kayak Fishing Package where we fish in remote areas that the canoes can't reach.

Want to go fishing and don't have any gear? Uncle Ducky Outfitters offers equipment rentals of 14' & 20" fishing boats, outboard motors, canoes, kayaks, tents, car top carriers, and fishing gear including rods, reels, tackle, and waders. We will get you all set up for a wonderful day fishing.

Enjoy fishing on one of our guided fishing trips or rent some equipment and go off on your own for a memorable day on the water.
