West Mackinac Recreation Area

Approximately one hour west of the mighty Mackinac Bridge, within 2 hours of all of the following attractions: Casino Gambling, Golf, Mini-Golf, X-Country Skiing, ATV and Snowmobile Trails, Waterfalls, Lighthouses, lakes, rivers, and streams for various types of fishing, hunting for deer, bear, grouse, snowshoe hare, ducks and geese.

We are close to the Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Big Spring (KITCH-ITI-KIPI), Mackinac Island, Point Iroquois Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, Mystery Spot, Gar Lyn Zoological Park, Shrine of the Missionaries, Soo Locks, Seul Choix Lighthouse, Park and Museum, National Ski Hall of Fame, Fort Brady, Father Marquette Memorial, Seney National Wildlife Refuge, Whitefish Point Lighthouse and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum.

GREEN GABLES RESORT - One and three bedroom cottages on beautiful Milakokia Lake. Each cottage comes with a 14' aluminum boat with rental motors available. Housekeeping cottages are complete with kitchens and full baths. Provide your own linens and paper products. All are lake front with a screened porch. Wednesday nights at the Newton Township Hall in Gould City. Doors open at 5:30 pm and calling of the games starts at 7:00 pm. We have both hard cards and papers. Our two large games are The Big Diamond at $500.00 and The Coverall at $300.00, depending on how many numbers are needed.
