Lodging in the Hiawatha National Forest at the White Fawn Lodge Motel and Cabins on Town Lake, 11 miles south of Munising in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. White Fawn Lodge and Cabins offers twelve 2, 3, and 4 bedroom cabins on the lake or in a wooded setting and a main lodge with 9 carpeted units including single rooms, suites, or apartment sized units with kitchenettes. TV reception is limited, but the Community Building has dish TV and cooking facilities. Direct access to snowmobile trails with Arctic Cat snowmobile rentals on site. Sorry, no pets
The private swimming beach on Town Lake has a sand bottom and is ideal for swimming and water fun. Nice dock for your boat, lawn chairs, or sunning. Town Lake has good fishing for perch, crappie, bass, pike, and bluegills. Taste great cooked on the B-B-Q grill. There are also several other nearby lakes and streams for fishing and canoeing. Lodge and Cabins have charcoal grills, picnic tables, and fire pits for campfires. Towels and linens are furnished but please bring your own paper products. All rooms in the Lodge have a TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster. There is a charcoal grill for cooking, picnic tables, and a fire pit for campfires. Breakfast is served during the winter from 7 am to 9 am for a small additional fee White Fawn Cabins Cabins are an open concept design with a living and dining area and a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. White Fawn Lodge and Cabins is the perfect place for the sports enthusiast or someone who wants to relax and enjoy the beauty of Town Lake and the Hiawatha National Forest. Only 11 miles south of Munising, you are conveniently located near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island Recreation Area, sightseeing cruises, and several waterfalls.
You will find hiking and mountain biking trails nearby and several lakes and streams for canoeing, boating, and fishing. Lakes in the area include Round Lake, Grassy Lake, Moccasin Lake, Little and Big Indian Lake, and Pete's Lake where you will also find a nice beach and swimming. Great hunting in the public lands of the Hiawatha National Forest. Winter brings lots of snow to the area and we are right on the snowmobile trail with connecting trails for some exciting rides. Enjoy the hundreds of groomed trails throughout the Hiawatha National Forest and Alger County. Ride up to Munising and Christmas or circle down to Manistique and back. We offer Arctic Cat Snowmobile Rentals. Cross-country ski trails are nearby or you might want to try your luck ice fishing on the lakes. Sorry, No Pets
The Forest Glen General Store is next door to White Fawn Lodge and features groceries, snacks, gas, oil, beverages including beer and wine, hunting and fishing licenses, fishing equipment, tackle and bait. The Forest Glen Store also carries ice and firewood for your campfire. Stop by the store for an old fashioned hand-dipped Jilberts ice cream cone served year round.
