Lodging in the Hiawatha National Forest at the White Fawn Lodge Motel and Cabins on Town Lake, 11 miles south of Munising in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Hiawatha Rentals offers rentals of canoes, kayaks, fishing boats, motors, pontoon boats, and jet skis.
Direct access to trails with Arctic Cat snowmobile rentals on site.

White Fawn Lodge and Cabins offers eight 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom cabins on the lake or in a wooded setting and a main lodge with 9 carpeted units including single rooms, suites, or apartment sized units with kitchenettes. Nightly rentals available. TV reception is limited, but the Community Building has dish TV and cooking facilities.

The private swimming beach on Town Lake has a sand bottom and is ideal for swimming and water fun. Nice dock for your boat, lawn chairs, or sunning. Town Lake has good fishing for perch, crappie, bass, pike, and bluegills. Taste great cooked on the B-B-Q grill. There are also several other nearby lakes and streams for fishing and canoeing. Lodge and Cabins have charcoal grills, picnic tables, and fire pits for campfires. Towels and linens are furnished but please bring your own paper products.

WHITE FAWN LODGE . . Nightly Rentals
All rooms in the Lodge have a TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster.There is a charcoal grill for cooking, picnic tables, and a fire pit for campfires. Breakfast is served during the winter from 7 am to 9 am for a small additional fee.

RATES at the Lodge range from $40 to $90 per night, $250 to $550 per week plus tax..

WHITE FAWN LODGE offers these comfortable units:

  • Room 1: double bed, 1 bunk bed, and bathroom with shower
  • Rooms 2, 3, & 4: 1 full-sized bed, 1 twin bed, and bathroom with shower
  • Rooms 5 & 6: 1 queen-sized bed and bathroom with shower
  • Rooms 7 & 8: 1 queen-sized bed with a rollaway available. Bathroom with shower. These rooms have a couch and coffee table
  • Room 9: 2 bedroom suite with a double bed and a twin in one room, and 3 twin beds in the other. 1 1/2 bathrooms with a shower unit.

Cabins are an open concept design with a living and dining area and a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. TV with antenna and VCR.

One Bedroom Cabins:

  • Cabins #18 & #19: One large room with a bunk bed unit, double on the bottom and a twin bed on the top. Bathroom with shower. Sleeps up to 3

Two Bedroom Cabins have a bathroom with a shower unit:

  • Cabin #20: Two bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and a set of bunk beds with a with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top.
  • Cabin #23: Two bedrooms with 1 queen bed and a bunk bed in one bedroom and a set of bunk beds with a with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top in the second bedroom. Cabin has a front porch.

Three Bedroom Cabins:

  • Cabin #22: Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and and a bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has a twin bed and a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and twin on top. The third bedroom has 1 twin bed. Second bathroom has a tub and shower.
  • Cabin #17: Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a master bedroom containing a queen-sized bed and adjoining bathroom with a tub and shower. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and twin on top and a twin bed, and the third bedroom has a twin bed. The second bathroom has a tub and shower unit.

Four Bedroom Cabin:

  • Cabin #10: Four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Furnished with a queen-size bed and twin bunks in each bedroom. 1 bathroom is handicap accessible.
  • Cabin #12: 2 story cabin with two bedrooms on the main level and 2 bedrooms on the upper level. Bedrooms are furnished with a queen-size bed in each room and a set of twin bunk beds. Downstairs bathroom has a tub and shower while the upstairs bathroom has a shower.

CABIN RATES: All rates are plus Michigan State Tax.
* * One-bedroom Cabin: Rates start at $80 per night, $500 per week
* * Two-bedroom Cabins:
Rates start at $115.00 per night, $700 per week
* * Three-bedroom Cabins: Rates start at $135 per night, $850 per week
* * Four-bedroom Cabins: Rates start at $160 per night, $1000 per week

White Fawn Lodge and Cabins is the perfect place for the sports enthusiast or someone who wants to relax and enjoy the beauty of Town Lake and the Hiawatha National Forest. Only 11 miles south of Munising, you are conveniently located near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island Recreation Area, sightseeing cruises, and several waterfalls.

You will find hiking and mountain biking trails nearby and several lakes and streams for canoeing, boating, and fishing. Lakes in the area include Round Lake, Grassy Lake, Moccasin Lake, Little and Big Indian Lake, and Pete's Lake where you will also find a nice beach and swimming. Great hunting in the public lands of the Hiawatha National Forest.

Enjoy Winter in the Hiawatha National Forest

Winter brings lots of snow to the area and we are right on the snowmobile trail with connecting trails for some exciting rides. Enjoy the hundreds of groomed trails throughout the Hiawatha National Forest and Alger County. Ride up to Munising and Christmas or circle down to Manistique and back. We offer Arctic Cat Snowmobile Rentals. Cross-country ski trails are nearby or you might want to try your luck ice fishing on the lakes.

The Forest Glen General Store is next door to White Fawn Lodge and features groceries, snacks, gas, oil, beverages including beer and wine, hunting and fishing licenses, fishing equipment, tackle and bait. The Forest Glen Store also carries ice and firewood for your campfire. Stop by the store for an old fashioned hand-dipped Jilberts ice cream cones are served year round. Always a favorite treat.
