This lovely secluded home is only 100 miles north of Green Bay and in the heart of a wide variety of outdoor recreation for the entire family. Whitetail Haven Vacation Home has three bedrooms, a den, and an open concept living and dining area overlooking the wooded countryside. The deck is perfect for your morning beverage or relaxing after a busy day enjoying the area around Iron Mountain.
Whitetail Haven is air conditioned and has a comfortable living room with a TV with VCR & DVD players. There is a large dining table and snack bar for dining with dishes and cooking utensils provided. The modern kitchen has full size appliances, a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a dishwasher. There is a laundry area with a washer and dryer. Whitetail Haven has three bedrooms and a den and will accommodate up to 11 guests. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a king size bed and two twin beds, and the third bedroom has a double bed. The den is furnished with a double bunk and a twin bed. There are two bathrooms. One has a tub/shower combination and the other bathroom contains a shower. Bed linens, towels, and paper products are furnished for our guests.
The lovely wooded surroundings provide a secluded setting for relaxing or you can enjoy a walk on trails throughout the property. Enjoy the singing of the birds, abundant wildlife, and beautiful wildflowers. The large front yard is ideal for games and gives the children lots of room to play. There is a gas grill for outdoor cooking and a fire pit for evening campfires.
The area around Iron Mountain offers exciting outdoor recreation with many lakes and rivers only a short distance away. There are swimming beaches at Lake Antoine and Bass Lake, many hiking trails, direct access to ATV trails with rentals in Iron Mountain. Golfers will find several area courses as well as a 5 star course. Enjoy the endless opportunities for scenic photography and wildlife watching. Kayaks and canoe rentals nearby for use on the many lakes and rivers. Enjoy a day fishing on the Menominee River or paddle down the Pine River for a fun day on the water. Fall is a great time for a visit with the outstanding colors for some great photographs or a walk down a trail with some crisp fallen leaves. Hunters will find abundant public land nearby for small & large game and waterfowl.
Whitetail Haven is only a mile from 2 convenience stores that also offer gas, and yet close to town for shopping, and dining. Visit the Historical Museum, the famed Cornish Pump, and the Iron Mining Museum. You can visit an actual iron mine a few miles east of town, enjoy an amazing view of the countryside from the top of Pine Mountain, or go whitewater rafting at Piers Gorge. Winter lovers will find Pine Mountain Resort with downhill skiing and snowboarding just a couple miles away. Enjoy a peaceful cross-country ski on the groomed trails at the Fumee Lake Natural Area, or try your luck ice fishing. Easy snowmobile trail access from the yard to the hundreds of miles of groomed trails. The large yard has plenty of room for your trailers and gear so get set for a fun vacation at Whitetail Haven in the south central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
