Two comfortable rental cottages nestled in the woods 3 miles south of the harbor town of Grand Marais, Michigan. Both cottages are air conditioned, have satellite TV, and a nice yard with lawn furniture for relaxing.  There is easy access to the snowmobile and ATV trails.  

BLUE HERON VACATION HOME

Named for the stately bird sometimes seen in the area, the Blue Heron Vacation Home has 2 large bedrooms and a comfortable living area with satellite TV with DVD and VCR players.  The furnishings include two double futons in the living area for extra guests. The kitchen has full size appliances, a toaster, microwave, and a coffee maker. There is a laundry area containing a small washer and dryer.

One bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom has a queen-size bed. The modern bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Linens, towels, and paper products are furnished for our guests.

A gas grill is all set for your outdoor cooking and there is a fire pit on the front patio for your campfires.

WOODLAND BIRCHES VACATION HOME

Our country cottage has high ceilings with knotty pine walls, comfortable furniture, a sofa bed, and a gas fireplace in the living area. Satellite TV with VCR and DVD players. There is one large bedroom with a queen bed, a twin bed, and a skylight for enjoying the night sky. A single roll away bed is available for extra guests.  The bathroom has a shower. Linens, towels, and paper products are furnished.

Patio doors lead out to a screened in porch, perfect for your morning beverage or just enjoying the view. The large patio has a charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking and a picnic table. There is a fire pit for your evening campfires.We offer a new open air pavilion with a table, chairs and a gas grill for our summer guests to enjoy.

The Blue Heron and Woodland Birches are nestled in a peaceful wooded setting just 3 miles south of Grand Marais, Michigan. Take a stroll on the beautiful Lake Superior sand beach in Grand Marais, visit the museums, and enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior. Visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore where you can enjoy Sable Falls, the Grand Sable Dunes, Log Slide overlook, hiking trails and the AuSable Lighthouse.

Outdoor recreation awaits you with canoeing, kayaking, and fishing in the nearby lakes and streams. The Fox River, a Michigan Blue Ribbon Trout Stream is just a few miles south of the cottages.  Sea and recreational kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, ATVs, and snowmobiles can be rented in Grand Marais for some fun on the woods and waters.

WINTER LOVERS
There is easy access to the snowmobile trails so you can ride from the door on groomed trails. Cross-country skiers will have a great time on the groomed ski trails in the Pictured Rocks Lakeshore.

RATES: 3-Night Minimum stay
Blue Heron: $150 per night.
Woodland Birches: $125 per night.
Cleaning Charge for less than a one week stay.
