Yooper Lodge, Yooper Cabin, and Yooper Bungalow are nestled in the woods of the Copper Country State Forest in Twin Lakes, MI in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Located on Highway M-26, just 25 miles south of Houghton, Yooper Lodge and Yooper Cabin are right by the Bill Nicholls Multi-Use Trail for ATVing and snowmobiling and only 2 miles south of the Twin Lakes, Roland Lake and Lake Gerald, for swimming, boating, and fishing. Yooper Lodge:
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and a half bath with a shower room. Towels, soap, and shampoo are provided for our guests. The bedrooms have the following sleeping arrangements: The "Cubby" has 1 double bed, the "Bears Den" has 1 double bed and 3 twin beds, "Whitetail Haven" has 1 double bed and 1 twin bed, and the "Moose Room" has 3 twin beds. The twin beds in the Moose Room can be converted into a king-sized bed.

The bungalow is on 25 acres of wooded land. Across the road from the Bungalow is the groomed Bill Nichols Snowmobile trail! Easy access from the lodge & gas is 2 miles down the Trail!
Both the lodge, the bungalow, and the cabin have lawn furniture and a gas BBQ grill for cooking burgers, brats, fresh fish, or other tasty treats. Cards, games, puzzles and a selection of books are available for guests to enjoy. Linens, towels, and paper products are supplied but you might want to bring paper plates and napkins. All you need to bring is your food and you are all set for a great vacation. The Mini-Mart, 2 miles north on M-26, has gas, a few groceries, deli items, as well as fishing gear and some snowmobile parts. Summer visitors will find a public swimming beach at Twin Lakes State Park and there are several nearby lakes and streams for boating and fishing. Dave loves to fish and he will be glad to point you to some of the good fishing spots. The 9-hole Wyandotte Golf Course is only 3 miles north for a round of golf and or you might like to search for agates at Misery Bay on Lake Superior for a fun outing. Shopping and sightseeing in Houghton and Hancock or you can tour the old Adventure Copper Mine in nearby Greenland. The surrounding Copper Country State Forest offers miles and miles of public land for hunting, fishing, hiking, and canoeing. The Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is only a short drive or you might like to take a day trip up to the Keweenaw Peninsula. Yooper Lodge and Yooper Cabin are conveniently located only 11 miles north of Mass City and 25 miles south of Houghton and Michigan Tech University, the Rozsa Center, and Finlandia University. The Bill Nicholls Multi Use trail is right by the Lodge and Cabin so bring your machines and get ready for some fun. This trail runs from Houghton to Mass City and offers a wonderful ride through the wilderness. Rental ATV's and snowmobiles are available in Houghton. Snowmobilers will enjoy riding the Bill
Nicholls trail that connects to the north with the
trail over the Houghton Bridge and on to the
Keweenaw Peninsula or you can ride south towards
Mass City, Ontonagon, and the Porcupine Mountains.
Cross-country ski trails in Twin Lakes and
Houghton and downhill skiers will have fun at Mt.
