The Lake House and Oak Ridge Cottage are vacation rentals on Mirror Lake in the Hiawatha National Forest, just south of Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Guests will find a nice dock at the waterfront, perfect for sitting and sunning. The lake has a nice sand bottom for wading, swimming, and water fun. Great for the kids of all ages. Mirror Lake is a spring fed lake and with small motors permitted 5 horse power or less). There is a rowboat and 2 kayaks provided with each rental for rowing around this beautiful lake or fishing for that “big one”.

Mirror Lake is stocked with trout as well as other species of fish, so bring your fishing equipment and see if you can catch your dinner, delicious cooked on the charcoal grill.  Each has a nice outdoor area for relaxing with lawn chairs, a picnic table, and fire pit for evening campfires.

The Lake House has a large living area, a breakfast nook, and a dining room that overlooks the lake with patio doors leading to the deck. The galley kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster coffee maker and just what you need for cooking and serving your meals inside or outside.

There are three bedrooms.  One bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second bedroom contains a double bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. There ia a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination and a small bathroom with a toilet and sink vanity. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience

October 1 through April 30th: $195 per day
May 1 through September 30:
$245/day with a 4-day minimum, or $1500/week
$125 Cleaning Fee

Oak Ridge Cottage is near the Lake House and has three bedrooms.  One bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom has 2 bunk beds, and there are 3 twin beds in the loft.  The bathroom has a shower. The kitchen has what you need to prepare your meals and there is a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking.
There is satellite TV in the living area and the cottage has wireless internet access.

Oak Ridge Cottage has a nice large yard with a sitting area and fire pit for relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake and surrounding wooded area.

The cottage is located only 15 miles from Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior, a wonderful spot for hiking and viewing waterfalls. Enjoy a view of the Pictured Rocks from the water on the Pictured Rocks Cruise or the Shipwreck Tour in the Glass Bottomed boat offered several times daily.  There are cascading waterfalls, canoe trips, and wonderful hiking trails. 

You can tour Grand Island by hiking, biking, or on a bus ride for those who want a more leisurely visit to the Island. Bikes can be rented at the Ferry Dock. You also might enjoy the cruise around the island.

Outdoor enthusiasts will have fun riding on all the back roads in the Hiawatha National Forest and there are some designated trails for non-motorized riding. There is direct access to ATV  & snowmobile trail  #7 for some great riding.

Fall at the Pictured Rocks is breathtaking with wonderful photo opportunities everywhere.

Winter is spectacular.
The Munising area offers a great trail system with snow in abundance. You are only a couple miles from the Buckhorn for gas and food and a short distance to cross country ski trails.

The Lake House and Oak Ridge Cottage are an ideal destination for a wonderful vacation.
