The Nevins Lake House is located between Munising and Grand Marais near the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the Seney Wildlife Refuge, and scenic Lake Superior.  This comfortable two-bedroom vacation home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is perfect for enjoying the all the recreational opportunities and the beauty of the Northwoods.  Kayaks and a small paddle boat are included for fun on Nevins Lake.

 The Lake House has two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living room with DirecTV, Wi-Fi, and a pullout sofa. The home is heated with a gas furnace but guests might like to build a fire in the wood stove and relax after a busy day. There is a complete kitchen with what you need for your cooking, a dishwasher, and a laundry with a washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a sliding door opening onto the deck.  The second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds. One bathroom has a tub/shower combination and the other bathroom has a shower. Bedding and towels are supplied, but please bring your paper products. There is a large deck on the front of the cottage where guests can relax and enjoy the view of the lake and the surrounding woods.

Nevins Lake is a beautiful clear lake with great fishing, boating, and swimming. There is a nice sand bottomed beach for everyone to enjoy. Fish from the dock for northern pike, bass, and pan fish or relax in the sunshine. Take out the paddle boat for a nice trip on the lake or try the kayaks for a more adventurous paddle. 

The famed Fox River, a Blue Ribbon trout stream is only a short distance away for those who enjoy fishing for those elusive trout.  Enjoy fresh cooked fish over an open campfire or on the gas grill on the deck. 

WINTER AT NEVINS LAKE Winter brings big snow to Alger County; average seasonal snowfall can exceed 300 inches.  The Nevins Lake House has direct access to snowmobile and ATV trail #8. This trail connects to other trails leading throughout the Upper Peninsula. Off trail riding in deep powder can be experienced in the Kingston Plains. Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing can be enjoyed right from the cabin door on back roads and trails around Nevins Lake.

Only a few miles from Lake Superior, Munising or Grand Marais,
the Nevins Lake House is a wonderful location for enjoying all the area has to offer.
