Rent a Rustic Cabin Program
in Upper Peninsula State Parks

Upper Peninsula State Parks have more than 26 cabins available to rent. Five different parks have cabins for your convenience and pleasure. These rustic cabins can be a functional and enjoyable base camp for hunting, fishing or hiking. Cross-country skiing, ice fishing or snowmobiling can be just as much fun.

Michigan State Parks also rent Camper Cabins, Lodges, Yurts, and a Tepee at some State Parks.

The cabins are on quiet sites and many overlook water. The smaller cabins tend to be more comfortable for families. At some sites, two or more nearby cabins can accommodate larger groups.

The cabins have single size beds or bunks with mattresses, a table, chairs, broom and propane heater or a wood stove for heat. There are outside hand-pumps for water and vault toilets.

You must bring bedding, cookware and tableware, axe and handsaw, first-aid kit, lanterns, flashlights, and bug repellent. We recommend a portable stove for cooking. When you call, ask if additional furnishings are provided. At the more remote cabins, the park may provide extra gear so you won't have to carry in as much.

Call 800-447-2757 (800-44-PARKS) for reservations or visit the park
and ask if suitable cabins and dates are available for your visit.
