Recently renovated and updated, the Trailside Lodge is an ideal location for visitors to the Copper Country in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The Trailside Lodge is open year round and located on Highway US-41, 10 miles north of Ho ughton and just ΒΌ mile north of Calumet, the headquarters for the Keweenaw National Historic Park. This central location is perfect for visiting all the interesting museums, lighthouses, and scenic area attractions in the Keweenaw Peninsula and outdoor en thusiasts will love this beautiful area of the Upper Peninsula.

The Trailside Lodge features 28 rooms furnished with a flat screen HDTV (cable), microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and Wi-Fi. Double rooms have 2 queen beds and the single rooms have a king bed or one queen bed. For larger groups, w e have a room with 3 twin beds and a double queen room with a kitchenette.

Enjoy the large picnic area with grills, picnic tables, lawn furniture, and a fire pit for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows after a busy day exploring the area. There is a large parking lot for vehicles and trailers.

The Trailside Lodge is on the snowmobile and ATV trail #17 for wonderful riding in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Ride from the door on your ATVs and enjoy exploring this beautiful area of the Upper Peninsula.

WINTER FUN AT TRAILSIDE LODGE

Snowmobilers will love the snow generated by the lake effect snow machine that really goes into action around Calumet. Trailside Lodge is located on trail #17 so you can ride from the door. We offer rentals of Ski-Doo one and 2-p erson snowmobiles and at the office. Call and we will have your machine ready for your arrival.

The Swedetown cross-country ski trails are nearby in Calumet with easy to advanced trails for the whole family and the Mt. Bohemia expert ski resort is about 30 miles north of the Trailside Lodge.

Make Trailside Lodge your headquarters for enjoying all the recreational opportunities in the area and the interesting attractions. Visit the lighthouses at Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor. View historic sites, many located in Calumet in the Keweenaw National Historic Park. Enjoy rock hunting, hiking, mountain biking, sandy beaches, scuba diving, kayaking, birding, or charter fishing in Lake Superior.

The fall color season in the Keweenaw is spectacular with photographers thrilled by the beauty of the flaming colors in the forests.
