We offer a variety of pasties including the traditional pasty (with or without rutabaga), breakfast pasty, chicken pasty, vegetable pasty, and mini pasties . . . great for appetizers or a party. Tasty soups and a variety of sandwiches. We have a drive-thru window so you can pick up your pasties for eating at home, at the picnic table by our door, or to take on a picnic to Fumee Falls, Lake Antoine, or one of the other nice picnic spots in the area. Just wait until you smell a hot pasty! Making Pasties What is a Pasty? Pasty is pronounced, "pass-tee" and was brought to the Upper Peninsula by the wives of the Cornish Miners in the early 1850's. The traditional pasty had beef, potatoes, onion, carrots, and rutabaga baked inside a golden crust; a filling meal for the men who worked in the copper and iron mines.
The Pasty Oven offers 5 varieties of pasties plus our Mini Pasties. All are wrapped in our thin buttery crust.
Can't stop by to pick up a pasty? Call us for your delicious pasties delivered right to your door. When you place your order, we bake the pasties fresh the next day, quickly freeze them, and place them in insulated liners, Then they are shipped 2nd day air by UPS. All pasty orders include reheating instructions for conventional oven or microwave.
