Lodging at the AuTrain River Lodge overlooking the AuTrain River in Alger County in the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Lodge is located only one mile from Lake Superior and close to Munising, the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, and the Hiawatha National Forest. The Lodge has 2 bedrooms, a loft, and a walk-out lower level overlooking the AuTrain River.

The AuTrain River Lodge has one bedroom with a full bathroom on the main level, a sleeping loft, and a walk-out lower level with a bedroom and 1/2 bath. There is a wood burning fireplace and a Cable TV on both the main and the lower levels.. This comfortable cottage will sleep up to 10 guests, but is also ideal for a couple.

The open concept large living area has Cable TV and a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen has full sized appliances, microwave, toaster, and a coffee maker.

The bedroom on the main floor has a queen-sized bed and there are 4 single beds in the loft. The sleeping area in the lower level overlooks the river and has two queen beds. The Lodge will sleep up to 10 guests, but is perfect for a couple. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and there is a 1/2 bathroom in the lower level. Linens, towels, and paper products are provided for our guests.

The lower level opens onto the patio and has a wood burning fireplace, cable TV, a wet bar, a sleeping area with 2 queen-size beds, a 1/2 bath, and a nice sitting area in front of the large window. Relax and enjoy this wonderful view of the surrounding woods and water or step out the door and enjoy sitting on the patio.

There is a small deck off the living area for sitting and enjoying the view and a patio on the lower level with table and chairs overlooking the river for relaxing or picnicking. There is a grill for your barbecues and a fire pit for campfires along the waterfront.

Enjoy a fire in the fire pit right by the lodge. Firewood is provided for our guests	Relax on our large dock in front of the Lodge. Ideal for sunning and sitting.

A boat and motor are included with the lodge for boating and fishing. Take the boat out and explore the AuTrain River or go out on AuTrain Lake for a boat ride or some fishing.

There is a nice sand beach by the river for swimming or fishing from the dock and it's only a short distance to the Lake Superior sand beach or the beach at the AuTrain Lake Campground.   Easy access to ATV trails.

The AuTrain River Lodge is conveniently located for enjoying all that the area has to offer. You will find a variety of restaurants and shops in Christmas or Munising or stop at the Kewadin Casino in Christmas. Take a hike on some of the many trails in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or on Grand Island. Bikes can be rented at the ferry landing for biking on Grand Island. Not up to hiking, you can also tour this beautiful island by bus during the summer months. Visit area waterfalls, go charter fishing in Lake Superior, or take the Shipwreck Cruise in the Glass-Bottomed Boat.

Fantastic snowmobiling on the interconnecting groomed trails in Alger County. This network of trails runs throughout the area and the Hiawatha National Forest for some great riding in the woods. The AuTrain Lodge is a great spot for your snowmobile vacation with over 250 miles of groomed trails throughout the length and width of Alger County. Enjoy an exciting ride and then come back to the lodge, build a fire in the fireplace, and kick back and relax.
