Welcome to the Sugar Maple Lodge nestled on 20 wooded
acres. The Lodge is located 9 miles northeast of Munising at
the edge of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Wireless Internet Access and Cell phone service is available.
Open year round, Sugar Maple Lodge will easily
accommodate up to 20 guests in the three bedrooms on the
main level, a "bunk house" style sleeping area on the
lower level, and 3 bathrooms. The living room and dining area have large windows
overlooking the secluded yard and the woods behind the
lodge. The living room has Satellite TV with HBO &
Showtime and a DVD player, comfortable furnishings, and
patio doors that open onto the wrap around deck.
The modern kitchen has all you need to prepare meals
for your family or group and includes a microwave, toaster,
coffee maker, and a dishwasher. There is a laundry room with
a washer and dryer for your convenience.
There are three bedrooms at Sugar Maple Lodge. One
bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a set of bunk
beds, bedroom #2 has a double bed and a twin bed, and
bedroom #3 has 2 sets of bunk beds.
The sleeping quarters on the lower level has an electric fireplace, a 40" flatscreen TV, 2 log bunkbeds, one queen log bed, and a pull out couch. There are 2
rollaways (a full bed & a twin bed) available for extra
guests. The Lodge has 1 bathroom and a 1/2 bath on the main floor and a bathroom with a shower on the lower level. Linens,
towels, and paper products are furnished for our
guests.
Enjoy your morning beverage as you relax on the deck
and listen to the birds
after a day of exploring the area. There is a charcoal grill on the deck for your outdoor
cooking and a fire pit for evening campfires.

Sugar Maple Lodge
Sugar Maple Lodge has easy access to the
snowmobile and ATV trails so you can ride from
the yard. We have a garage
heated with a wood-burning furnace for guests to use in
case they need to work on their machines. Wood is
provided.
Sugar Maple Lodge is near Lake Superior, the Pictured
Rocks National Lakeshore, and the Hiawatha National Forest
with interesting adventures for guests to enjoy all year
round. The Lodge is near Lake Superior, the Pictured

Summer guests enjoy fishing the numerous lakes and
streams in the Hiawatha Forest, charter fishing in Lake
Superior, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, or visiting
waterfalls, photographing the spectacular scenery, enjoying
the wide variety of birds, or relaxing on the Sand Point
Beach on Lake Superior, just a few miles from the Lodge. ATV
riders will have a blast on the many trails in Alger County
that can be accessed right from the Lodge.
Winter is for snowmobiling, cross country skiing,
snowshoeing, ice fishing, and ice climbing for the very
adventurous. We have 2 pairs of snowshoes at the lodge for
our guests to use. Snowmobile trail access right from the
yard to the many miles of fantastic groomed trails, so get
your group together and plan for some winter fun in Alger
County near Munising Michigan.
